Remember how Kristi Noem distanced herself from Corey Lewandowski after the Trumpist slime ball manhandled one of her donors at a swanky fundraiser in Las Vegas?
The distance is back down to about two feet:
KSFY’s Austin Goss notices that Greg Travis, former Houston city councilor and failed Texas State House Republican candidate, took this picture of himself and his wife Julie with Noem and Lewandowski in Houston Saturday night at the Kickstart Kids Boots and Black Belts Gala, an event hosted by Chuck Norris, who started Kickstart Kids in 1990 to teach kids character through karate.
Dang—now if only Noem would bring Chuck Norris to South Dakota to kick some character into Jason Ravnsborg.
Seven hours before Norris’s fundraising dinner kicked off, Lewandowski retweeted Tom Lawrence’s Black Hills Pioneer article in which Representative Charlie Hoffman says the South Dakota Highway Patrol’s briefing on the Ravnsborg car crash provides “irrefutable evidence” that Ravnsborg knew he hit a pedestrian with his car and lied to police about it. Keep sending those Twitter love-rewteets, Corey, and maybe next time Kristi will let you stand right next to her.
In a tangential connection, one of the $5,000 “Buckaroo” sponsors (and that’s the fifth-lowest tier; $50K gets you “Texas Ranger” sponsor status) of Norris’s event was South Point Hotel and Casino, which is the same name as the hotel that donated $50K in 2020 to a PAC connected to Noem’s billboard flacker Rob Burgess and which hosted Noem’s return to Vegas in December after her awkward Vegas visit with Lewandowski in September.
Noem didn’t go to Texas just for one night with the Big Lewd. Noem was apparently in Texas for at least two days—Saltstone Capital founder Billy Bailey had lunch with Noem on Friday in Dallas:

Well…a good day for the Governor to be out of town…Republicans in the House vote against her position on impeaching Ravnsborg…her ability to lead that mess of a Party has eroded away…good riddance
