Lewandowski Considers Helping Ramaswamy; Noem Presidential Bid Not Likely

Governor Kristi Noem’s relationship with sexual predator and Trump schemer Corey Lewandowski may be over. Politico reports that Lewandowski has talked with Trump about helping Vivek Ramaswamy run for Preisdent:

Former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has spoken with a pro-Vivek Ramaswamy super PAC about coming on board — and ran the idea by the former president before doing so.

Lewandowski has talked with American Exceptionalism PAC, an outside group that has been set up to bolster the candidacy of Ramaswamy, according to three people familiar with the discussions. The longtime GOP operative, who for a time led Trump’s 2016 campaign and has remained an ally of the ex-president, approached Trump within the last several weeks to tell him about the prospect of him joining the organization.

Trump did not raise any objections, according to those people familiar with the talks [Alex Isenstadt, “Corey Lewandowski Spoke with Vivek Ramaswamy Super PAC About Role,” Politico, 2023.05.10].

Lewandowski was last known to be at Noem’s side in January planning and witnessing her second inauguration in Pierre. He may be jumping ship because he can divert Ramaswamy’s fire toward other Republicans not named Donald and because Noem has run out of primary gas:

Super PACs are prohibited by federal law from directly coordinating with campaigns. And the people familiar with the discussions say Trump simply did not raise any objections to Lewandowski joining the pro-Ramaswamy group, not as a means of placing him there to help his own election effort.

Still, Lewandowski’s presence at American Exceptionalism PAC could have the effect of bolstering Trump. With Lewandowski involved, top Republicans believe it would be inconceivable that the super PAC would target the former president, and would most likely focus its fire elsewhere.

…Lewandowski remained an ally of South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and during a Republican Governors Association conference in Orlando, Fla., last November, he was spotted in the governor’s entourage. Noem had for a time been mentioned as a prospective 2024 candidate herself, though top Republicans no longer regard her as a likely candidate [link added; Isenstadt, 2023.05.10].

Jeepers—Lewandowski coached Noem for years, and all his efforts produced was a pinup cowgirl who still can’t make a good speech, let alone score better than 2% in any national poll. That’s why she’s spending more time slumming around South Dakota in her sneakers playing with snakes and turtles while Lewandowski turns his attention toward folks who may be actual players in the 2024 election.

They’re toast. The national Republican Party’s presidential candidate bench has virtually collapsed leaving Liz Cheney to pick up the pieces.

31 May, 2016: Thune backs Trump.
8 October, 2016: Thune condemns Trump.
12 October, 2016: Thune flips again and backs Trump.

It’s becoming likelier all the time the outcome of the 2016 presidential election was engineered by the Obama White House, the Clinton campaign and the FBI to throw the election and destroy the GOP by destroying Trump.

It’s the only explanation that makes any sense.

Anyone who believes the Obama White House and the Clinton campaign didn’t know Trump would destroy the Republican Party is delusional.

Yes, Larry, let’s hand them a shovel allowing them to bury themselves.
They are in a circular firing squad and too stupid to realize it, or to do anything about it.
One panelist nailed it 11 days ago. She said that the republican party will rue the day they put those radical justices and judges on the federal courts for doing so ensured democratic majorities for generations.

Good morning, John. What’s shocking is that Republicans actually thought they could anoint a serial pu$$y grabber to mount a mis-America pageant run by a Russian who wants to reduce the planet to a pile of rubble.

Well…with the Governor, it’s a “Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained” type proposition. She trotted down the campaign trail, picked up some ready cash in contributions and appearance fees, and became the Sweetheart of the Republican Party, spouting non controversial positions on all the right issues. She cancelled out any looming threat from Nikki Haley. Now she can hang loose until the campaign heats up and she can start brokering the assets she’s acquired into future employment. We do not know how much of this career development initiative the taxpayers of South Dakota funded. From the looks of things, most South Dakotans don’t care.

Maybe Lewandowski can sabotage vivek’s org from the inside, out of true love for his imaginary prairie trad-wife. Nah. Now we’re gonna be stuck with her.
