In campaign finance trivia, Kristi Noem has reorganized her state campaign fundraising committee, Kristi for Governor. According to a statement of organization filed Monday with the Secretary of State, Noem has replaced treasurer Kevin Broghamer with Staci Goede from Virginia. Goede gives an email address at Sage Consulting, but KELO-TV reported in March 2022 that Sage Consulting said Goede no longer worked for them. Goede was treasurer of the Dakota Institute for Legislative Solutions, the pro-Noem propagandizer that swore, as did Team Noem, that it was putting up billboards in during the 2022 Session to attack Noem’s Republican Legislative enemies without any connection or coordination with Noem as of last of Sage Consulting.
No connection at all… but now that entirely unconnected group’s treasurer is handling Team Noem’s funds.
Goede was also treasuring some shadowy PAC money in Wyoming county races last year. Handling campaign funds for regressive PACs and parties across the country is evidently Goede’s gig; perhaps her job for Team Noem now is to figure out how to legally transfer the $2.69 million Noem’s state campaign fund was sitting on last January to her federal PAC so she can hand out thousands of gift cards the way North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum did to qualify for the August GOP Presidential candidates debate.
Mr. H. You do know how you have a better than average (50%+) chance on how to tell when some individuals are not telling the truth? Please note “Today is Wednesday” and “The Black Hills Motor Classic starts soon” are truths so it is difficult to tell untruths all the time.
Noem is a Con Woman. Your cannot follow the thread of her Lies without Strict Surveillance.
There is a good deal of fraud and mendacity powering the Noem machine, as Charles points out. She is obvious and somewhat awkward in her execution but she raises money out of state and then hires out of state hired guns to execute her schemes. She’s not exactly Archie Gubbrud.
