Next Stop: Pennsylvania! Noem Resumes Out-of-State Campaigning

Evidently recovering from her big breakup with Corey Lewandowski, part-time Governor Kristi Noem will be out of state again next week campaigning in Pennsylvania:

The Pennsylvania Republican Party, which usually holds a Friday lunch event in Manhattan, will instead host a dinner next week in Warminster with South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as the speaker. Clout hears that decision was driven by a reluctance to make people show vaccination status in New York. The party declined to comment on that [Chris Brennan and Julia Terruso, “Dems Worried About Covid, Republicans Wary of Restrictions as a Slimmed-Down Pa. Society Kicks Off in NY,” Philadelphia Inquirer, 2021.12.03].

No word yet from the Governor’s office on how many South Dakota Highway Patrol officers she’ll need to take off South Dakota roads to protect her body at this campaign event. And no word yet from Noem’s SDGOP primary opponent Representative Steven Haugaard on whether he plans to follow Noem in criss-crossing the country seeking celebrity or will remain right here in South Dakota campaigning in front of the South Dakota voters who will actually choose to rehire or replace our current Governor.

Whilst in Pennsylvania where many abused and deprived indigent children were buried, will Kristi address the fallacy of her quest for South Dakota-educed students be force-fed how great thou (the USA) are? Nope…

DS, she’s not traveling the country looking for audiences interested in hearing that message. It’s possible she’s made more speeches in Pennsylvania and Las Vegas than she’s made on South Dakota reservations.

drumpf’s favorite for Pa. Sinator quit the race so that leaves Dr Oz to sidle up to for some sliming. Yikes!

Dr. Oz is no longer the man behind the curtain.

Out of curiosity, when the SD Highway patrol acts as security detail for the governor, do they wear their usual patrol uniforms, or are they dressed in a less conspicuous uniform?

  6. Mac 2021-12-04 17:21

TimA; I think they wear brown shirts and pants with horseshoe and hobnail boots.

  7. mike from iowa 2021-12-04 17:27

For armaments, they wear spurs and carry riding crops.

Self proclaimed “America’s Governor” Kristi Noem
Loves to hop in the state plane to roam
So she can whine and complain
    While also campaign
But what’s the real reason she just can’t stay home?

The ladies in my prayer group had lots of answers. Really, she has to know like we do that she has zero chance at national politics unless as Grump Trump’s VP. These never Trump Republican ladies, WHO ALWAYS VOTE, feel very optimistic about Trump not running and Noem losing the primary. Let her roam and make a fool of herself, it helps the competition.

Argus PRAVDA outdid itself today with a page 1 fan rave to make COVID Kristi’s abuses and neglect of office appear to somehow benefit South Dakota.

The inside-out logic of the article has the facade of balance with harmless quotes from state Democrats placed in paragraphs long after the assault on basic truth and the eyes with six glamour photos of the snow queen and headlines “BRAND RECOGNITION” and “South Dakota parlays COVID-19 strategy into exposure for tourism, economy and Kristi Noem.”

Strategy? There was never a strategy on Noem’s ridiculous handling of COVID except to cough up a string of lies to make criminal neglect appear like purposeful insight while she jetted around the nation to prop up a silly run for President four years in advance.

The purpose of this cowardly puff piece is obvious. Noem whines like a 6-year-old about all those mean reporters who have the audacity to report straight news about her nakedly selfish blunders as the state’s chief executive. Placating a spoiled narcissist with a page 1 puff piece means nothing to Noem. Little wonder that Argus PRAVDA’s financial status is circling the drain.

    It is Gravy Sunday.

Today, at the Conservatives with Common Sense Breakfast, the Opening Rant will be delivered by a special guest who will espouse her theories on the likelihood of Messrs. Haugaard and Deutsch bogging down the legislatures with many Roe v. Wade bills and try to jam them through. This will put others who pander to the insaner-right in tough spots up and down, so how will they handle it?

Cory, good point. I forgot about the character assassination done by Jon Lauck and pals on the good soul Dave Kranz. Sickening, especially with all the backslaps and bragging afterward. Lauck has had books published and hopes they and his university credentials would somehow normalize a calculated assault on one of South Dakota’s most beloved and respected lifetime journalists.

Well..the Governor and her people seem to have an oblique awareness of the importance of branding and no appreciation for having something behind the brand….its a hollow drum. The Argus reports statistics gathered at great expense about the Noem led Ad campaign but very little information has been provided regarding actual outcomes for South Dakota’s economy. Are people making more money??? Do they have better health insurance? More retirement benefits?? Has Governor Noem and her multi-million dollar dream team staff of consultants done anything to improve the standard of living in South Dakota…I’d say, the jury is still out.

Dems in South Duhkota lege should quickly pass a bill telling Noem she can run for higher office, but, has to resign as guv if she does.

Sauce for the goose (Daschle) and all that rot.

  15. Mac 2021-12-05 13:58

Is she using the STATES plane? Is this STATE BUSINESS? Who is really paying for her wanderings?

  16. Porter Lansing 2021-12-05 14:52

Don “The Con” Trump has an effect on people with low self-esteem, like your Governor Noem.

A few hours with “His Excellency” and she’s morphed into a “poor girl billionaire”.

She now believes she’s spending your money and most of all it helps you not her.

When Governor Noem feels important that makes her supporters forget their common lives and imagine, even for a moment, that they too are special.

It’s all good until a national audience gets to vote.

The majority of Republican males don’t believe a woman is capable of doing the job of President and the majority of Republican women are moved by jealousy, of another woman, doing better than they are doing.

And, of course, the majority of Democrats think she’s just an arrogant, horse’s ass.

  17. Arlo Blundt 2021-12-05 15:23

Well..the whole argument as presented by the Argus is specious spin.Governor Noem is roaming the country speaking to select groups of steadfast, registered Republicans, those Republicans hearing her message have selected her as a Presidential candidate for the ’22 election by 2%…that is 2 % of hardcore Republicans or less(0 or 1 per cent in some polls) list her as there number 1 candidate. We are also to believe that because 1 or 2 % of rabid Republicans, would care to go to a speech by Kristi Noem and then mark her in a poll as their preferred candidate, and that Registered Republicans are approximately 20% of the total population..a great interest in moving to South Dakota is at groundswell proportion in the country. The ,Argus says that a large but unspecified number of dissatisfied Republicans, in large part from the law enforcement community, are inquiring on the state website about possibly moving to South Dakota and because of this, Governor Noem has struck a great blow for economic expansion in this state. While I would make the judgement that Mrs. Noem’s roaming about the nation speaking to small groups of wing nuts has nothing to do with economic expansion, the Republicans believe the public will believe anything if you repeat it enough.

  18. Mark Anderson 2021-12-05 16:48

Well Cory, the righter than right ALEC has named the Noem best governor, how’s that for the righter than rights who populate and copulate( the blue flag people of course) in South Dakota?

  19. Mark Anderson 2021-12-05 17:06

By the way Porter, at least the pub males won’t talk about her the way Trump talked about Carly in 2016. She’s a damp dream to them…just two minutes of thought.
