Jackley & Noem Help Raise Money for Madison Domestic Violence Shelter

Last week, Madison’s Domestic Violence Network featured Attorney General Marty Jackley as a speaker at a men’s luncheon/fundraiser for a new domestic violence shelter. To avoid any appearance of partisan inklings, the Domestic Violence Network is featuring Jackley’s gubernatorial primary opponent, Congresswoman Kristi Noem, at a Women’s Tea Party to raise more money for that shelter:

  • What: Women’s Tea Party
  • Where: St. Thomas Center, west side of Lake Herman.
  • When: Friday, May 3, 3:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m.

The Domestic Violence Network is looking to find approximately 80 local women to join us for a women’s tea party on May 4, 2018 featuring guest speaker Kristi Noem. If you or your organization are interested in being part of this event, please get ahold of us on Facebook or by email at dvncrisis@vastbb.net.

We are excited to boost this event and are looking forward to the support of our network with the women in our community!

This is not a political event. Kristi Noem is supporting the acquisition of the new shelter.

We want to make sure that guests understand that this is not a political rally, but focusing on the needs of Domestic Violence and Simple Assault survivors in our community. Space is limited and a silent auction will be part of the event – to support DV shelter fund drive. Call the shelter to get your tickets [Domestic Violence Network, Facebook event, retrieved 2018.05.01].

Have Kristi come talk to the ladies, have Marty talk to the fellas… dang! Who’s left for Billie Sutton to come talk to?

The men could raise beaucoup bucks by getting an HRC pinata for the event and raffling off chances to whack it. For a good cause, of course. (TIC)

Besides, without HRC to kick around, what else would wingnuts have to complain about?

    “Domestic Violence and Simple Assault”

Huh? “simple” assault? I’ll bet that was supposed to be “sexual.”

It’s a good cause women and men. Show up and support, even if you have to listen to a couple of Republicans. Maybe they’ll be funny, though probably not as hilarious as the great Michelle Wolf!
