Dems Rank Third in Voter Registration in 20 of 66 SD Counties, First in 9

Bob Mercer follows up on the news that Democrats now rank third behind Republicans and indies for voter registration in South Dakota and counts 21 counties where indies outnumber Dems:

According to the Secretary of State’s office, at least 21 counties — Brookings, Butte, Custer, Davison, Deuel, Douglas, Fall River, Faulk, Hanson, Harding, Hutchinson, Jones, Lawrence, Lincoln, Meade, Minnehaha, Pennington, Perkins, Turner, Union and Yankton — now have more NPA/indies registered than Democrats, and several others such as Codington and Hughes nearly do [Bob Mercer, “Capitol Notebook: Many Counties Losing Democrats,” KELO-TV, 2023.08.22].

Mercer pulls that list from the Secretary’s August 1 report. His inclusion of Douglas County appears to be incorrect: on August 1, Douglas County had 235 registered Democrats and 226 registered indies. The updated county roster this morning shows Douglas with 233 Democrats and 225 indies. Of course, those Dems and indies together are still vastly outnumbered by Douglas County’s 1,688 Republicans.

Democrats rank first in voter registration in nine counties: Oglala Lakota, Todd, Dewey, Roberts, Buffalo, Ziebach, Corson, Clay, and Bennett.

As a precinct committee person, I am utilizing the Precinct Strategy, to unite my fellow voters to the America First Policy, looking for Candidates who wish to promote America First Agenda, initiatives, and resolutions. Most S.D Citizens are conservative in nature, steeply enriched in their “christian faith”, and protecters of liberties, and their unlienable rights givent to them by their Creator. The S.D Preamble to the Constitution says it best – it is an oath to our “GOD” of which 90% of the S.D People who founded South Dakota came from, and originated from the Principles of the Lutheran Catecism, a group of Pommerian Farmers from East Germany, Poland, Northern Hungary, Denmark, and the Baltic States. I am seeking potential voters to recreate the Republican Party as the “American First Party”.

Former Sioux Falls Mayor, Mike Huether even left the Democrat Party, becoming an Independent, shows the Democrat Party is moving in the wrong direction here in South Dakota. The former mayor was a bit progressive, however, fiscally, he was a Christian.

If you are a South Dakota conservative who can get on the general election ballot in 2024 and intends to run as an unaffiliated or third party candidate for the US House or for the legislature from your district I will support your efforts both with money and in print.

magats like Zit usurped the true meaning of take care of the least among us to mean, since billionaires are the smallest class of wealth,, take care of the billionaires, lock, stpck and barrel.

  5. Bob Newland 2023-08-23 13:26

Just because people in large numbers in SoDak do something is obviously not in itself evidence they are moving in the “right direction.” It actually points in the opposite direction, Mikey Z.

Just boring old me with an anecdote. TL;DR is no insult to me. In fact, since I’ve teamed with my AI employees’ insults are literally meaningless to us. Okay. On with the story.
    – I switched from being a registered Dem to registering as UA (unaffiliated) about twenty-five years ago.
    – So many of we Coloradoans did similar (we now comprise a full third of registered voters) that our friendly and amiable legislature made it easier for us to be heard.
    – Every primary election I now receive two mail-in ballots. One for the Repub primary and one for the Dem primary. This drives the MAGA’s nuts, but the security is perfect, and frauds not been an issue at all. Every piece of voting material is double or triple bar coded along with QR codes and watermarks. Try and vote twice and then tell us what the CBI/FBI agents had to say.

Look fellas ,in honest, in passionate, and I listen to people. I don’t care what party you like my job is be part or a movement, I got 1167 residents in my precinct, of who the voters elected me based on my beliefs and opinions..my job is to represent them no other precinct. I do speak to other precinct people to understand their opinions … I am a Lutheran by faith, I am dedicated to my beliefs l, and to the constitutionbl, and t9 my ancestors.

What is the Precinct Strategy, and How will it Help Restore the Republic Tomorrow?
The Precinct Strategy is a group of people who believes each conservative American’s top priority should be active engagement as a precinct committeeman in the political Party our Founders and Framers would be members of if they were alive now.
First established by founder, Dan Schultz, an elected Arizona Republican Party Precinct Committeeman and state committeeman, a veteran, an attorney, and an author, Mr. Schultz has over ten years of “in the trenches” experience in all aspects of political party governance, and campaigns for both political party and political office candidates.
A true grassroots movement of the people always begins first, within our homes, to our neighborhoods, our local political subdivisions, our precincts. The true power of the people can be found where the people are well organized, and united on a common set of goals, agenda, policies, and candidates.
According to a 2004 Survey, done by the United States Election Assistance Commission, the average Precinct in the country today has 1,100 Residents.
In South Dakota alone, we have a population of 889,000 American Citizens, of whom reside across 66 Counties, of which are broken down further, into 689 Precincts, where each precinct has an average of 1,290 people residing in each. Where we, as a State, have 548,000 registered voters, simple math shows that each precinct has 795 registered voters, or 60% of the total number of residents.

When the People begin to Organize, and Republic together, they in turn begin to grab, and wrestle power back from their Legislature’s and City Councils.
What is a Republic – A Form of Government or Process in which a state is ruled by the people, and their representatives of the citizen body. Modern republics are founded on the idea that sovereignty rests with the people, though who is included and excluded from the category of the people has varied across history.
As an Elected Precinct Committee Person myself, I have created the website Sioux Falls Community Chronicle in order to help educate, inform, and teach my fellow citizens of their history, their community, both as a State, as well as their local community itself. The goal helps better inform the people of what their government is, and what it is not, as well as what their government is doing today, and what it is planning to do in the future.
I wrote a document titled A Great Panic Fell Upon the United States of America with the purpose to present to the people an illustration of how far the country has progressed to the far left, from its original principals, becoming dangerously close to a plutocracy today, thanks to the corruptive nature of what occurs where the foreign actors grab powers deep within the country itself, allowing them to hijack, and grab controls of our government(s) today.
The Precinct Strategy’s mission is to fill all of the vacant precincts today, with America First Candidates, of whom have the goal of Restoring the Republic.
In South Dakota, there are 66 Counties, of which each county has a County Committee Person (66), those Counties are broken down further into Precincts, of which there are 689 precinct Committee Persons, and finally, there are thirty-five (35) Legislative Districts, of each each have one Delegate each. That is 790 Elected Persons of whom have a huge responsibility among the People of South Dakota, for their job is to meet in Committees, Conventions, across the State to discuss future “Statewide” initiatives, resolutions, policies, let alone to help choose our At-Large Constitutional Representatives.
Every Four Years, this Group of Elected People, the very people closest to you, are tasked with Going to a Convention to nominate, vote for, thus choosing Your “party’s” choice for Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, State Auditor, your Land (utilities) Commissioner.
Precinct Committee Persons are elected for a Term of Two (2) years, of which they meet during that time to help Register Voters, Inform the Voters, to help Educate the Voters, to Holding Town Hall Events, Committee Meetings, thus helping to Introduce Initiatives, Resolutions, Policies that best represent them.
As we align with the Precinct Strategy, the goal is to now align ourselves with the America First Policy Agenda, of which was first established by Nicholas J. Fuentes in 2016, with the policy goal of forming a foundation of which is transforming America into a more authentic, effective, and Christian movement.
The America First Foundation is an organization dedicated to crafting a new vision of the American nation. We champion the role of God in society, upholding the principles of Nationalism, Christianity, and Traditionalism –
Our country is having a crisis of faith. We’ve lost faith in God, in our institutions, and in our destiny as a people. This absence has left the foundational pillars of America in ruins. Immigration has spiraled into a mass invasion, eroding our identity as Americans. Our cities, once shining achievements of our prosperous civilization, are now symbols of decline and decay. Our people have been taught to hate themselves and their ancestors, all the while being encouraged to embrace degeneracy and sin. Our forefathers created this nation with their blood, sweat, and tears. Their struggle produced a country rooted in Christ, family, and virtue. Following in their footsteps, we aim to restore those lost values while building a happy, healthy, and prosperous future. Much like our ancestors, we strive to create a home with dignity and reverence for God.
Combined together, the two organizations, the Precinct Strategy and the America First Foundation – has set the policy goals of uniting all Americans, to become Communities first, Americans second, Conservatives third, and finally, becoming a Precinct Committee Person to secure our blessings of life, liberty, property, and our pursuit to happiness as a free, and independent, and sovereign people.
Community defines a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common, of which they enjoy a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Chronicle is defined as a chronological record of events; a history of the people, and their community with a goal to record in or as in a chronicle.
When ‘we the people’ stand united, we have the utmost power over our government, and when the people control our government collectively, the government becomes the servant of the people, and not the master that some want it to become.
The Precinct Strategy, the means of, the way of, and the manner of, in Restoring the Republic of Fifty (50) Free and Independent States for America.

Well…..we’re strong in the counties still occupied by the members of the various Sioux tribes within our borders….and Clay County which has many students from Northeast Iowa attending our University and ex patriots from other states affiliated with our University, which still provides a Liberal Arts Education.

mikey z has clearly never been a student of early American history. He and his fellows should read up on that before showing his ignorance regarding independent states. Been there, done that. It doesn’t work, even if you put a god in the equation. Now, if you can read his tripe, you actually can eat tripe, it’s not for everyone, just like mikey z.

  14. Mike Zitterich 2023-08-23 15:40

I am thankful that of 66 Counties on 10 are progressive. That means 56 are bound to our constitutuon as written in in 1889 by my ancestors. My Christian God rules over us. I would not mind uf we squash the democrat party to smithereens. Thet are Marxist today. Sadly our conservative policy’s ad low taxes are attracting a hug migration of California’s, Nevadians, Eastcoast snobs, and foreign criminals….we need t9 double down and protect our borders.

SD government survives on federal dollars created by blue states and then prances around patting itself on the back for being conservative with those dirty socialist dollars…

the republican party in this state is just like in every state and at the federal level – they have fully embraced the MAGA lifestyle: Make Attorneys Get Attorneys. I look forward to the youth of today coming of age soon and helping these ignorant and crooked cult members go extinct.

  16. Arlo Blundt 2023-08-23 15:48

Mr. Z—If you would bother to read nearly any book on South Dakota History you would find that our “founding fathers” (of whom I am a great fan), copied the constitutions of several other states, including Minnesota, Iowa, Pennsylvania and Vermont, rather than constructing an “originalist” constitution. They wanted no controversy to arise with the Congress when it came time to admit the Dakotas as two states.

Mr.Z..please tighten up your spelling…another English language proficiency challenge for your average South Dakotan.

Put Abortion on the ballot and see how badly republicans get their arse’s handed to them. Why do they fear women folk. Voter registration means about as much as a bucket of spit without national funding. These crooks and liars that call themselves politicans in republican South Dakota are really more of the scam artists we have seen for decades. Take a look at the list of those who have gotten huge handouts from the federal government. Covid relief? Who’s kiddin who here? I thought you picked yourself up by the bootstraps, nah. The bankers found a way to funnel government money into the hands of their select few and away it went. So dear friends, being third or second in South Dakota just means your an honest broker who understands the real meaning of freedom.

  20. larry kurtz 2023-08-23 16:32

Yes, Marxist agriculture, Marxist dairies, Marxist cheese, Marxist livestock production, a Marxist timber industry, Marxist air service, Marxist freight rail, a Marxist nursing home industry, a Marxist internet, Marxist gas well remediation and now a Marxist rural water system are all fine with Republicans in South Dakota but then they insist single-payer medical insurance is socialized medicine.

There is a growing movement among Democrats and others to fund Medicare for all but I like the idea of rolling the funding for Obamacare, TriCare, Medicare, the Indian Health Service and the Veterans Health Administration together then offering Medicaid for all by increasing the estate tax.

Montana has regained the top spot as the most lucrative state for doctors with South Dakota a close second. South Dakota has the fourth least punitive medical board and second lowest payout for malpractice while pay for doctors in Montana is fifth best but South Dakota is 29th in competition among physicians.

  21. larry kurtz 2023-08-23 16:43

Besides Jessica Castleberry at least 30 other South Dakota Republicans believe in Marxism, right Mr. Zitterich?

  22. Mike Zitterich 2023-08-23 16:48

State does utilize federal funds for state activities. Look at the budget for once. We collect 4.5 billion of state taxes that fund all statewide activities.

Federal funds upon assessing the budget are only paying for federal highways, properties, programs, national parks, Indian Healthcare, medicaid services, etc.

At least I do something that Democrats refuse t9 do, research.

Federal dollars also helped keep pur private businesses afloat caused by the Democrat led Covid – Pandemic. The state should not have had to pay any expense not of our doing.

Democrats still mad that S.D conservative manner creates surpluses something dems have no way to learn if.

I am thankful I can hide my gross income in a S.D trust fund to avoid democrat federal taxes.

System. In 2005 as part of the Base Realignment and Closure Commission (BRAC) Republicans like Bruce Rampelberg helped to make Ellsworth an even bigger target for retaliatory attacks but today exercises over the Powder River Training Complex are suspended in part because of the poor condition of B-1 bombers stationed at Ellsworth.

Contractors say the B-21 Raider isn’t expected to be delivered until maybe 2030 so which will it be: a bomber base in South Dakota or is a state law targeting pregnant people already jeopardizing military readiness?

  25. larry kurtz 2023-08-23 17:16

  26. jerry 2023-08-23 17:18

mikey z, you’re as broke as those 10 commandments, or as you republicans love to say, suggestions. Anyone who brags about hiding money in trusts has always proven to be a damn liar, which is another way to describe you and your insurgency. Why don’t you just cut to the chase and head on over to mother russia. Wagner is looking for a new leader as the last one had an unfortunate shoot down. You would fit right into the theme there. Go on now mikey z, take some used beaters with ya, sell some Lada’s to the folk there, dump that Pontiac. Do u think Yevgeny Prigozhin’s plane was shot down by Putin, like, as you know, 2 October 2018, Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi dissident journalist was killed by agents of the Saudi government at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey? [4] [5] Khashoggi was ambushed and strangled by a 15-member squad of Saudi operatives. [6] [7] His body was dismembered and disposed of. [8] Wiki, NYT

South Dakota will receive more than $60 million in federal water project funding in its first round of infrastructure stimulus as part of President Joe Biden’s latest trillion-dollar-plus spending bill. Beyond the EPA dollars headed to South Dakota, hundreds of millions more will also be funneled to the state through various federal agencies. And like the EPA, those other federal departments are earmarking those dollars for specific uses like dam and water projects, bridge repairs, broadband internet expansion and electric vehicle charging stations. – Joe Sneve
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — South Dakota helps itself when it comes to financing state operations but it couldn’t do it without the federal government’s help.

Since fiscal year 2019, the state has received at least $1.6 billion in federal aid each year that helps fund schools, parks and other operations in the state, according to state Bureau and Finance Management budgets. The BFM describes the federal aid as direct expenditures from state government. And more than $1 billion in COVID-19 relief money contributed to a huge $85.9 million budget surplus for fiscal year 2021. – Rae Yost KELO

Well, again, I am very sorry that I offend you people. But again while I believe we can find some agreements between each other, i cannot compromise all of the morals and values I have been taught by my parents, grand parents. I owe them for all the fortunes I received cause they taught me how to act, how to treat people, and how to behave in public. My dad taught me everything about the automotive industry my mom taught me all about babysitting children making me a great role model, whilvmy grandma taught me God’s word.

I don’t understand why you all hate on me so much ot ate so angry all the time. I provide My political opinion on this page. I cannot be a troll since I respond to all your concerns. And I do it very professionally with out no personal attacks. That’s how I made my reputation as an honest person.

From what I hear on other blogs and forums, you guys have a pretty bad reputation as name callers, and I wanted to find put for myself. Republicans do not act that way, they don’t cal people names.

I consider myself a good man, someone who always goes out of his way to help people , listen to people, talk to people. And if that’s a problem for you, I will stop coming to this blog offering my insights.

You all talk this big game, but I never see any of you at city council meetings or committee meetings, anywhere. Either shutup or put up.

I am probably one of the only Republicans whovcome to this page, subjecting myself to so much abuse. I do so, cause I want to see if I can fins any agreements with you. But I’m out. I had enough.

I am sorry we don’t like each other….perhaps one day we can go foe lunch and hash out our differences. You know how to find me. I am a ZITTERICH.

  40. grudznick 2023-08-23 21:22

You did not offend grudznick, Mr. Zitterich, and I have great, manly, affection for you. You are right about the name-callers on this blog, especially the out-of-state name-callers, but grudznick is the voice of courtesy here, Mr. Zitterich. You are a good man. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.

  44. Ryan 2023-08-23 22:30

jeez mike, it’s a frickin public comment thread, chill out. try some of that devil’s lettuce and you may realize that with all your wonderful upbringing, you have grown to be a person who supports political policies based on your superstitions that increase human suffering rather than using your wisdom to connect to your fellow man, and recognize the suffering of others who are perhaps very different than you. Some local dakota-grown medicine might help you feel closer to your fellow man. It’s a gift from your god, after all.

republicans can be polite all day long (rare) but they’re supporting policy that subjects our fellow human beings to neglect, poverty, incarceration, indifference, and scorn for not living up to a dusty old book full of hypocritical, self-contradictory, half-remembered ghost stories… and well… that can draw some passionate rebuke.

Open primaries. Alaska showed us what works to batten down the zealots of the political parties. Zealots rage to ‘out radicalize’ each other. This results in extreme candidates having little to know motivation to compromise, to strike deals in their scorched earth pursuit to impose their will on the voters.

All the trumpian Alaska zealots raged against the principled stands of Sen Lisa Murkowski. She handily won her nomination and general election — thanks to open primaries sidelining the fire breathers.
