Conservative Oakes Goes for Liberal Font Size

In campaign font news, Gideon Oakes does Steve Barnett one better in making sure voters see his name. The Libertarian District 30 Senate candidate has been driving steel stakes into Black Hills stone to put these big letters up all over District 30:

Notice how Oakes’s name completely dwarfs the fancy letters on that law office sign (that law office belonging in part to Fall River County state’s attorney Jim Sword, who unsuccessfully pressed a lawsuit to keep incumbent Senator and illegal Republican candidate Lance Russell off the District 30 ballot. Notice too how even in those teeny-tiny montage pictures, “OAKES” still stands out.

That’s the idea. Even if you’re a conservative like Oakes, be liberal in your font sizing. Big liberal.

That young fellow can both make and eat a liberally large sandwich, too. His district is where my friend Bob and I vote, and it is insaner than most, so you can’t go wrong voting for Mr. Oakes.

    Good luck Mr. Oakes.

  3. Thanks to you both! And Grudz, you’re making me hungry. Would love to catch lunch with you sometime. Newland can come too. We like Ruby Tuesday, even though their senior menu prices are insaner than most. ;-)
