Rally to Protect Women’s Health Care from GOP Today at Noem’s SF Office

Since the Republican plan to replace the Affordable Care Act includes a provision banning Medicaid from paying for care at Planned Parenthood (because Republican health care reform is about making sure fewer people get health care, right, Kristi?), Planned Parenthood South Dakota invites you to visit Congresswoman Kristi Noem’s Sioux Falls office this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. for a rally to tell Congress to stop playing politics with women’s health.

Rep. Noem’s office is at 300 North Dakota Avenue in Sioux Falls. She won’t be there, but lots of South Dakotans who care about affordable women’s health care will.

Drumpf tried to bribe Planned Parenthood offering to restore federal funds if they give up doing constitutionally protected abortions. Planned Parenthood told him to take a flying leap.

How damn tacky can a person get trying bribery to prevent the exercise of a constitutional right? What’s next? Poll taxes again?

Kristi needs to be honest and get in front of South Dakotans and the media and tell us how her 7 years of “repeal and replace” planning will really affect women, rural healthcare, healthcare providers, the middle class, the impoverished and seniors. Then she can tell us how insurers and the wealthy will be impacted.

Kristi, you say you represent us in DC and want to be our governor, might be good to be honest with us and let us make our own decisions on who we want representing us.

Kristi, Mike and John are mute on the impact on our hospitals. Here’s what the healthcare industry has to say.

“Losses of this magnitude cannot be sustained and will adversely impact patients’ access to care, decimate hospitals’ and health systems’ ability to provide services, weaken local economies that hospitals help sustain and grow, and result in massive job losses. As you know, hospitals are often the largest employer in many communities, and more than half of a hospital’s budget is devoted to supporting the salaries and benefits of caregivers who provide 24/7 coverage, which cannot be replaced.”

Not counting on much from the empty suits, but praying that the South Dakota media will muscle up and do their job.

Kristi is now like the dog that caught the car and doesn’t know what to do…she just enjoyed the barking.

That seems like a really unfortunate octothorpe name they got assigned on the internet, there. #StandwithPP indeed.

Maybe that’s who registered the #StandwithPP octothorpe, I don’t know how those things work. But thank you for reminding me about Mr. Gant. He was a chuckle and a half, wasn’t he?

So many victims, so little fact.

  8. jerry 2017-03-07 21:09

True that. There will be millions more victims as the republican blood bath will move forward.

ho hum… another abortion debate… the issue is that some taxpayers don’t want their dollars to go towards this… however, what is the REAL issue? Is it government population control? A man’s will and power over women? and i’m going to disregard the “religious belief” argument because if that was the case you would ALSO be against in vitro fertilization! SO NO MORE OF THAT. I don’t know, whatever the REAL issue is, but are children that were considered for abortion more likely to be Incarcerated as an adult? Libertarians take note. Unfortunately this is a statistic we will never be able to find out, but… worth mentioning.

However, keep in mind, without a habitable environment to begin with, how can life exist?

Wingnuts new Drumpfcare bill is all about giving people “choices”. Choose a new I-Phone or a month or less of healthcare. I hear 10 pages of the new 60 page bill deals with lottery winners. Mitchie McCTurtle sez whatever bill comes out of the house goes directly to the senate floor for a vote-no debate -in a desperate effort to pass this monstrous tax cut for the 1%.

Payl Ryan was asked about Standard and Poors assessment that Drumpfcare will cause 6-10 million poors to lose their insurance. He sez that is not true and cutting costs is the main goal. Sounds like a typical, arrogant, callous, phony damn right wing kristian.

CBO has yet to check this cluster out to determine the cost and how many insurance losers there will be. They do say costs will increase nearly $2000 for individual policyholders above what ACA cost the,.

International Women’s Day is a good day to celebrate Marie Curie, pioneer in nuclear science. First woman to win a Nobel Prize.
