The Trump Postal Service isn’t serving South Dakota well. Even Trump-enabling Senator Marion Michael Rounds has to admit that Trump Mail fudged its figures to hide how badly it was degrading service to our rural state:
“They cheated the system. They didn’t tell the truth in terms of how long it’s actually taking for mail service to get delivered,” Rounds said.
Rounds said a review from the Postal Service’s Inspector General’s Office showed the US changed the rules in how it measured timely delivery.
Under the old rules, the clock started once a piece of mail was postmarked. Under the new system, no one started counting until the piece of mail had reached a regional processing center, meaning up to two days were not being counted.
