Larson Talks Affordability, Just Like Tuesday’s Democratic Winners

Senate Minority Leader Liz Larson isn’t citing Democratic Mayor-Elect Zohran’s Mamdani’s big win in New York City in her latest rallying email to supporters of her District 10 reëlection campaign:

Yesterday, in elections across the country, we saw MAGA’s ideological chaos rejected. Voters from Virginia to Georgia said no to MAGA extremist nonsense. These results give me hope because I know that here in South Dakota, most Democrats, Republicans, and Independents share that same balanced, common-sense approach and reject extremism. That’s who we are [Senator Liz Larson, campaign email, 2025.11.05].

But she is following Mamdani’s, New Jersey Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill’s, and Virginia Governor-Elect Abigail Spanberger’s successful line on talking to voters about the affordability crisis that Trumpublicans promised to solve but aren’t solving:

South Dakotans are focused on what really matters. Families are watching grocery bills, housing costs, and childcare prices climb. We need leaders who stay focused on getting practical results that make life more affordable, government more transparent, and opportunity more accessible for every person willing to work for it [Larson, 2025.11.05].

Donald Trump is building golden ballrooms and bathrooms while you struggle to pay for groceries—yeah, that line might resonate with regular voters who want practical results, not imperium motivated by personal inadequacy.

I saw a “special” in the grocery store the other day: Special! 80/20 Ground Beef only $6.99/pound…

Each day is a mentally triggering event with this administration. The lives MAGA/MAHA are destroying is criminal.

Republicans now just realizing this need to get voted out too because they’re obviously not bright enough to hold office if they’re this slow.
