Dakotans for Health Hosts Rally for Roe Initiative and Four Other Petitions Saturday Morning in Sioux Falls

The deadline for submitting initiative petitions for the 2024 general election is May 7, but Dakotans for Health is pushing to submit its Roe v. Wade petition this November. Toward that ambitious end, Dakotans for Health is hosting a petition-singing rally this Saturday morning at the Icon Lounge in Sioux Falls:

Dakotans for Health, Restore Roe Democracy Rally, September 30, 2023, 10 a.m.–12 p.m., Icon Lounge, downtown Sioux Falls.

In addition to collecting signatures for its abortion-rights petition, Dakotans for Health is also using Saturday’s rally to circulate its food-tax-repeal petition, the open primaries petition sponsored by Joe Kirby and friends, the initiated measures protection amendment petition sponsored by Brian Bengs’s team, and the latest marijuana legalization initiative from Matthew Schwiech’s team.

In addition to the opportunity to sign five initiative petitions, the rally is offering an hour-long program of advocacy and entertainment:

  • 10:30 a.m.:  Welcoming Remarks – Rick Weiland

Heck yeah. Sounds good. There ought be a plate circulating as well. I love to donate, yet am not a fan of all the junk mail and tree waste after giving. Cash donations are where it’s at. Where cash donations are not possible, DFP is as close as it gets to no strings attached and the reciprocity is immense.

Does anyone know where a person in Rapid City can sign the grocery tax repeal petition? I went to dakotans4health.com and can’t find that information. They don’t answer their phone and they don’t respond to email.
