What does First Gentleman Bryon Noem do with his time while his wife is off running for President?
Well, two years ago, after casting about for the first ten months of Kristi’s rein looking for something semi-official to do, his wife’s marketers cooked up “This Is South Dakota”, an initiative to keep Bryon busy video-blogging about our small towns. Bryon said he would “highlight the good things that are happening in our smaller communities….”
Since the highly produced introductory video posted to FG Bryon’s Facebook page on October 21, 2019, Team Bryon has posted seventeen “This Is South Dakota” videos. Ten are clips of ten seconds or less showing Bryon shooting free throws, mostly by himself (except for the unseen videographer probably being paid by our tax dollars to capture these highlights).
So in two years of Charles Kuralt-ing (the “On the Road” thing, not the double life), the majority of good things happening in South Dakota’s smaller communities that Bryon Noem has found worth committing to video are him shooting hoops on empty basketball courts.
“This is our culture,” reads the First Gentleman’s website. “This is who we are. This is South Dakota.”
Mr. Noem is invited to the Conservatives with Common Sense breakfast this morning where we will talk college football and whether or not THC can bind to the fat in sausage gravy. This is the evolution of culture.

I smell an appraisal license in the air for the first guy dad. Queen Gov aka America’s Governor aka Bully Gov has to stay with the hub to give the appearance of an all America family togetherness. If she loses in 2022 she will get dumped by 45 and squeeze #1 with no tomorrows. Wonder if that is why the Bully Gov is going to any measure to be in the sight of 45 for 2024.
Any measure… is that a South Dakota value? Is that the social studies truth for our children to learn? Daily questions of character, morals, values, ethics and representing South Dakota are coming to the surface. Inbred Republicans might have to reboot or continue to go down the road distracted as some have been criminally caught doing.

Now we’ve all been reassured KN twuwy loves BN and the Lewandowsky affair rumors are garbage and disgusting lies, I feel almost sheepish suggesting the First Gentleman should have one of Kristi Lynn’s spawn paternity tested. That would be the one whose first name does NOT begin with a “K”. Bryon seems a most incurious dullard, or perhaps a shrewd strategist. Kristi Lynn’s offspring are all older than eighteen, so he’s not on the hook for child support when he gets wise enough to divorce her wandering, umm, yeah.
Mrs. Noem’s behavior is nothing new. She knows how powerful having dirt on as many people as possible is the way Republicans do it. Shantel Krebs was driven from South Dakota politics because she knew too much.
Now if he was shooting horse, that’s South Dakota.

This just goes to show the governor is not in touch with “South Dakotans”. Neither the husband, here, nor the Governor represent this natural born South Dakotan. A real Governor understands who greases the wheel in economic turnaround and the real beauty of that which South Dakota reoresents and is.
The real, This is South Dakota, is simply those employees who get up in all hours of the day building and repairing our roads, highways, and the interstate; the healthcare workers and first responders whom arise to the occasion to save lives and treat the ailing young and old; the utility workers whom keep the power on; the hospitality workers; etc, etc., etc. On and on on a daily basis whether it is hot or freezing cold.
Most do not have time nor the energy left to go shoot hoops…a mindless photo op to say the least.
Never heard of the first man, here, touring the state just to have something to do albeit at tax dollars expense.
This is South Dakota showing all of its beauty and the good people who live and work here.
We need an accountability board filled with South Dakotans who know the value of a dollar and what it takes to make that dollar, honestly.
It’s always easier to spend someone else’s money and never be held accountable for doing so.
But this isn’t Utopia…”this is South Dakota”.

Dakota Life on South Dakota Public Broadcasting already showcases our state and the real people. It is an insult to pay this dude to play with himself as Mike from Iowa suggests. For goodness sakes, Bryon could have had some blow up dolls sitting as an audience just for fun. To Bryon, South Dakota is just about him. He and Kristi are like Ken and Barbie. They look sooooo good together but have more fun out on their own.

So what is all the touting of running one they so boast about nearly losing it(farm or rranch) as if it weren’t for the now be it Ms Governor and her sidekick significant other first gentlemen. Or is she getting her know all experience of running from real life ecmxperiebced rancher/farmers like good old boy lieutenant governor whom actually works and runs one. By the way, not to deviate and get off topic but why do we not hear about what the lieutenant governor is doing for the state. No photo ops of him. Why?
