Using Facebook for Politics Ridiculous, Except for Powerful Republican Blog Sponsors

Before falling asleep over the holiday weekend, the SDGOP spin blog posted a lazy attack on the radical nutjobs in their party who are including social media in their effort to whip up a primary storm against SDGOP spin blog sponsor and incumbent U.S. Senator John Thune.

When the SDGOP spin blog awakened from its slumber yesterday, guess what the first thing it posted was?

Yup: a Facebook post from sponsor/Senator Thune, showing him noodling about with a hockey stick to promote a bill he’s been fecklessly flogging since 2015.

To summarize: using Facebook is “the worst way” to campaign to unseat John Thune, but using Facebook is the best way to promote Senator Thune and his legislative agenda.

I think I’ll just continue not using Facebook at all. Staying off Facebook helps me avoid a lot of malarkey and hypocrisy.

well…one read through the Republican blog and …goodness…I’m glad I left that Party. Mindless babble.

  2. Nothing but blind parroting of messages from sponsors and party leaders, with no thought of philosophical consistency, no useful analysis, no interesting policy discussion—that’s all Pat Powers as left.

  3. Its actually very funny to see the Grand Old Party devolve isn’t it? What do they stand for other than the whims of trump? Its also very sad to see, but not for me, its just pure glee.

Well..its very blatant, and a little creepy, to see a couple pages of the official Republican Party Blog given over to a stirring defense of derivatives and their salesman….yikes…get in the cellar and prepare for the next crash. They are so in love with deregulation they would sell their mother down the river for a 5% annual return on investment.

The facebooks are indeed places filled with malarkey and hypocrisy. They have almost as much malarkey and hypocrisy as the blogs. All the blogs. Every one.

Social media and poli-blogs are groups of “friends”.

No wonder gurdz is averse to them.
