Donald and Melania Fall for Democratic Election Hoax

In a crushing blow to his supporters and his own family members who have claimed the coronavirus pandemic is just a hoax cooked up by Democrats as a ploy to win the election, Donald Trump is now claiming that he and his wife and an advisor have coronavirus

Joe Biden and his wife appear not to have caught anything from the Trump’s at Tuesday night’s 90-minute TV appearance, but Trump’s family violated venue rules and refused to wear masks in the audience:

Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, tested negative for COVID-19, the couple’s doctor, Kevin O’Connor, announced in a statement Friday. The Biden campaign has not said whether the former vice president plans to self-quarantine.

Fox News reporter Chris Wallace, who moderated the first presidential debate in Cleveland, said in an interview Friday on his network that the Trump family members who watched the debate in-person did not wear masks as they were instructed.

Wallace said the rules called for everybody except for Trump, Biden and the moderator to wear face masks. He said a safety personnel member from the Cleveland Clinic came up to the family when they were seated and offered them masks in case they didn’t have them “and they were waved away” [Joey Garrison and Ledyard King, “Future of Presidential Debates Unclear After Trump Tests Positive; Trump Family Largely Ignored Mask Rules Tuesday,” USA Today, 2020.10.02].

The best thing for the Trumps and for the country right now is for the Trumps to all stay out of sight and away from anyone else for the next two weeks.

Trump learned of Hope Hicks’s positive test Thursday afternoon. Trump proceeded to travel to a campaign fundraiser at his New Jersey golf club… because, to the very end, the Trumps insist on not taking real problems seriously.

They think they’re taking away Donald Trump’s greatest tool, which is being able to go into an arena and fill it with 50,000 people every single time…. You watch — they’ll milk it every single day between now and November 3. And guess what? After November 3, coronavirus will magically all of a sudden go away and disappear and everybody will be able to reopen. They’re trying to deprive him of his greatest asset.

Update 12:19 CDT: Governor Kristi Noem was a fundraiser Wednesday evening in Minnesota with Donald Trump:

No social distancing. No masks.

WCCO political insider Blois Olson said that’s what he saw on images and video taken at a Wednesday fundraiser for President Trump at the west metro home of Marty Davis, the CEO of Cambria.

Trump announced on Twitter early Friday morning that he and the First Lady had tested positive for coronavirus.

Olson said the images were on the Instagram account of Sergio Gore, one of Trump’s top fund raisers.

“Staff and guests lingered after the president was there,” Olson told Dave Lee on the WCCO Morning News. “They sang karaoke, they had their arms around each other.”

Among the guests was South Dakota governor Kristi Noem, with Olson saying she posed for many pictures, again without a mask and not practicing social distancing [“Photos inside private Twin Cities fundraiser before Trump’s diagnosis show no masks, no social distancing,” WCCO Radio, 2020.10.02].

I wonder if he will inject fake bleach for this fake illness.

  2. Loren 2020-10-02 13:00

News media reporting that the White House is “in a panic.” No one knows who was infected or for how long. My advice is, don’t worry. It only effects people over 70 with heart conditions. Of course, there is always chloroquine, bleach or sticking a UV lamp up your butt, if it doesn’t “just go away.” But, I’m also thinking this is not the first time he brought something home he caught from another woman. Then again, “I Really Don’t Care, Do U?” !@#%^&*

Normally, I don’t wish illness on anyone. Normally. For people as irresponsible as Trump and Noem about taking basic public health in a pandemic seriously, the best thing for all of us is for any such superspreaders to die quickly.

Ahhh, the USA’s own “infector in chief,” his “first infector family,” and his loyal “staff infectors.”

Or to paraphrase Country Joe and the Fish:

    And it’s one, two, three,
What are we masking for ?
    Don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn,
    Next stop is the COVID 19 plan;
    And it’s five, six, seven,
    Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain’t no time to wonder why,
    Whoopee! we’re all gonna die.

Bearcreek- i can’t tell you how many times i performed that song o’the sixties. Barry Melton was the main influence behind my SG then. You make me smile.

Well, maybe a little bit praying for the maskless Don and Kristi. One of my brilliant SoCal kids laughed late last night “if he wouldn’t test he wouldn’t test positive”.

Good people of conscience everywhere are scared sheitless. May we get through this month.

    Gimmie an F…!

Quick, to the hoaxpital for some hydroxychloroquine at Sanford, GNOem has the connections there for treatments (chlorine bleach and a bulb up the rectum are optional).

  7. Fast Eddy 2020-10-02 15:15

So, a friend e-mailed me asking if I thought if Trump was really positive or if he was trying to avoid future debates where people would be further annoyed by his lack of control. I wrote back that I would wait for additional information… with Trump anything is possible.

Country Joe and the Fish. Memories of better days gone by.

October surprise? Who knew? I’ll believe it when I see him hooked to a ventilator. Reminds me of the movie “Dave”. What chubby guy would they get to replace? Boris Johnson from the UK?? Nope, that pesky accent.

Something drumpf’s can watch together in quarantine, drumpf’s body count surpass new milestones nearly every day as it zooms past his approval ratings….

    United States
    Coronavirus Cases:
    7,533,075
    Deaths:
    213,316

  11. jerry 2020-10-02 15:43

237 South Dakotan’s dead from the trump virus that trump and his gal pal, GNOem are responsible for. What a couple of failures to add to the rest of the republican nightmare we have seen here for the last 40 odd years.

  12. owen 2020-10-02 15:45

You know you can’t take Noem’s freedoms away-whatever that means

  13. cibvet 2020-10-02 15:52

Trump’s tweet still doesn’t report reality as he thinks the First Lady will be spending the quarantine period with him.

  14. scott 2020-10-02 16:01

I was once told UV lights up the whaa-whoo work, at least that’s the only way I know how to get them inside the body without surgery………….. !

  15. Debbo 2020-10-02 16:36

The Strib says Kruel Kristi did not get close to her hero.

“The Associated Press confirmed that among the guests was South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem. But she was not in close contact with the president or anyone else who has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to her spokesman.”

Notice that is per her report, so take it with a truck load of salt.

I’m just crushed that Minnesota’s GOP leadership in the lege and some top donors were there gladhanding away. Just crushed. They’re Moscow Mitch wannabes. I don’t want them dead, but I wouldn’t mind if they get real sick. They’ve been harassing our good governor on his safety mandates. Serves them right.

NPR just reported that Dumb Dolt is checking into Walter Reed. Just out of caution, you know. 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉

  16. Wade Brandis 2020-10-02 16:57

As much as I don’t like Trump, I still hope he and his family can recover from this. I can never wish ill-will on anyone. If the President ends up dying from this, that is going to make an already chaotic 2020 election even more so.

I’m also not surprised he and FLOTUS contracted it. Without the masks and social distancing, it was bound to happen eventually.

  17. mike from iowa 2020-10-02 17:53

Mr Brandis, the chance that drumpf recovers is especially heartening when one thinks of seeing him frog marched out of the kremlin annex and jailed for life for various and sundry financial crimes and treason.

Owen, no offense, but it appears you misspelled freedumbs as it is known in wingnut circles.

  18. mike from iowa 2020-10-02 18:08

Here’s drumpf’s trouble neatly summed up and fresh from another blog fave of mine….

    Paradoctor said…
Trump has tested positive for covid-19.
His karma ran over his dogma.

    2:56 PM Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Fast Eddy, let’s take story at face value: Trump has covid, and it’s bad enough to put him in the hospital. If it means no more “debates”, so much the better. America has seen all it needs to see from Trump on a stage opposite Biden to know who the real public servant is.

  20. jerry 2020-10-02 19:45

Mr. Brandis, you are too kind. I go for the opposite, the same treatments that he and his damn virus have given to millions of Americans, un-caring and denying the existence of the trump virus by calling it a hoax. May he and all in his evil circle now see how the rest of the suffering masses feel. May his bed pan overflow.

I understand he is going to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. I suppose he will walled off from all the “Losers and Suckers over there”. Surprised he can even go there. Those people just don’t have the genes that he has. “Genes are very important you Know”

  23. Cory Allen Heidelberger Post author | 2020-10-03 07:10

Horrors upon horrors! I misspelled Mrs. Trump’s name as “Melanie” in the original headline. I apologize to all the Melanies out there whose good name I besmirched.

  24. Jenny 2020-10-03 08:44

The October Surprise, this is really the sad, pathetic ending to an awful Presidency. I actually feel bad for the Trump’s, he is such a beaten, broken, unhappy man and you know Melania can’t stand him.
Go home, Donald. Go home after you get better and leave the American people alone. Shut your mouth on election day and let the American people vote fairly and squarely.

  25. Buckobear 2020-10-03 11:33

Now he’s at Walter Reed being cared for by suckers and losers. Disgusting.

  26. Debbo 2020-10-03 16:59

    The memes on Twitter are beyond hilarious! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Yes, some are definitely in poor taste.

Per Ozy, this is what happens if Medical Moron dies from the Hoax:
    ___________________________________

    When a Presidential Candidate Dies
The president is sick — and so is the candidate. Aside from the political implications, there are legal and constitutional considerations beyond the nightmare ballot challenges already envisioned. If Trump dies before Nov. 3, a Republican mini-convention nominates a new candidate. But with many people already voting, states can’t reprint ballots. That triggers a more complicated scenario in which the deceased or incapacitated president is reelected, explains political analyst Ed Kilgore. In that case, electors would likely be called upon to choose their party’s nominee, setting aside the voters’ choice in their states.

Here is a link to the Prospect article relied upon by Rawstory in mfi’s link:

    https://prospect.org/coronavirus/i-note-the-absence-quorum-republican-quarantine-amy-coney-barrett/

According to this analysis it appears that despite McConnell’s public claims that COVID 19 infected Republican Senators can participate in Senate business “remotely,” it appears that mfi is right on the money, as current Senate rules apparently require the physical presence of a majority of Senators for a quorum, and without a quorum no action may be taken.

(Note: the 1st time I went to this link there was no paywall, but the 2nd time a paywall popped up after a few seconds – sorry.)
