Sinners in the Hands of a Snowy God

We have no stats on the participation rate in Governor Kristi Noem’s statewide day of prayer, in which she presumed to supplant the liturgy and wisdom of every local pastor and congregation with an imperial edict to pray for flood relief.

But we do have these winter storm watches from the Rapid City and Sioux Falls National Weather Service:

URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

…POTENT SPRING STORM TO IMPACT THE REGION MIDWEEK…

.A potent spring storm system will move across the region midweek, bringing rain, snow, and gusty winds to the area. Rain will develop across the area late Tuesday, then transition to snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Snow will gradually end Wednesday night through Thursday. There is a potential that northeast Wyoming, the Black Hills, and western to central South Dakota will see more than 6 inches of accumulation. Some areas could see over a foot of snow. Very gusty northerly winds will create areas of blowing snow Wednesday through late Thursday, possibly reducing visibility to near zero at times. There is still uncertainty as to what specific impacts the area may see, so be sure to monitor the latest forecasts for updates [NWS-Rapid City, 2019.04.08].

Looks like the Baby Jesus does not like to be mocked by fake charlatans like No Nothing GNoem and her goofball cabal.

15 years ago Gov. Mike Rounds had everyone praying for rain. I guess it’s working now.

Ullr the Snow God is unhappy about all the overgodding going on with the legislatures and Governor.

Cory, for starters I’ll point out your own irrational faith in climate alarmists who repeatedly spew false predictions and correlations. Then to say…. those of us who pray have a long enough history with God such that we can trust his faithfulness. We each have many instances of empirical evidence for answered prayer in our own lives and are convinced when looking at the big picture of history and particularly salvation history that God answers prayer. We aren’t rattled when we cry out for mercy and another round of storms smacks us on the head. But from your vantage point I can appreciate your skepticism. Know this, none of us believe God is a vending machine who spits out whatever we ask for. We have come to know God responds to the disposition of hearts inclined to him. We pray some days like Job…. yea thou he slay me yet will I praise him.

Mr. Hickey, you get paid to pray, so no matter what, you can claim victory and cash your check.

‘Yea though he slay me yet will I praise him” ? Explains a lot as to why god squad types always support fascists like trump and trump acolyte greasy governor Krisco.

Salvation history? What in hell are you talking about, Hick? Numerous times I have asked you for a single biblical example of god’s “ mercy.” So far you haven’t been able to deliver. You think you are knowledgeable because you have a “doctorate” in voodoo, but you are just a miserable little lying piece of dung.

“Cory, for starters I’ll point out your own irrational faith in climate alarmists who repeatedly spew false predictions and correlations.”
And thus Hickey establishes his own utter lack of credentials in this matter.

The quackery is further shown in Anne’s informative link. with a delusional grandpa trump’s White House, figuring ways to lie. While we shovel the snow that a miffed Baby Jesus dumped on us for being so disrespectful, we can now plan on it being a common occurrence. Open the antiquated dams to allow the free flow of water, they have proven to be useless for our future.

“For months, White House officials have looked for ways to question the scientific underpinnings of climate change and whether the issue actually presents an imminent national security threat.

The effort has been championed by William Happer, an NSC senior director. An emeritus professor of physics at Princeton University, Happer once headed an advocacy group that touted carbon dioxide as an asset rather than a pollutant.

During the early months of the administration, some Trump officials weighed the idea of conducting a “red team-blue team” exercise on climate change, an idea espoused by Scott Pruitt, then the head of the Environmental Protection Agency. White House aides, including then-Chief of Staff John F. Kelly, blocked the idea at the time.” Anne’s link to the Washington Post.

Happer is like Herman Cain and Stephen Moore, inmates running the asylum of the cognitive impaired.

Y’know, Hickey, people like you exhibit what looks like abused-spouse syndrome in your irrational claims about your mythical deity.

Pastor Hickey, note that my critique here is not of your faith and religious practice. My critique here is of an elected public official who mistakes her proper role.

The other day, I lost my car key. I prayed to find it, and then I found it !!! Just imagine if I had NOT prayed !!! Imagine the risk involved in not praying for what you need !!! I might not be able to hit the supermarket before this snowstorm !!! Heck, I might be dead in 2 days if I didn’t have this car key !!! Thank God !!!
