I do a nice write-up defending my friend Shantel Krebs against out-of-state wingnuts, and how does she thank me? By trump-petting the endorsement of an out-of-state wingnut:
An endorsement from Iowa’s Steve King might be worse than an endorsement from Kansas’s Kris Kobach. White nationalism, false claims about Muslims, insults to Latino immigrants, straight-up white supremacy, disregard for science… who on earth would want an endorsement from a man carrying all that baggage?
Why, a lady who’s trying to extinguish any fires Neal Tapio may be setting among the primary electorate with his crazy Trump karaoke. And with Trumpists like Kobach and King lining up behind Krebs while Tapio mewls by himself on his lonely paranoid island (check that: has any national figure endorsed Tapio?), Krebs may well win the lioness’s share of the Trump primary electorate.
King’s endorsement may not matter in tonight’s debate on South Dakota public television, which channel most of the Trumpists whom Krebs would impress never watch. But the Krebs-Kobach-King kombo sends a pretty strong signal to South Dakota Trumpists that she can be their grand dragon.
Meanwhile, Dusty Johnson shuns the xenophobia and quietly builds his June 5 majority….
Yo, Krebs, remind me how many Drumpf family businesses and jobs have been repatriated by the WH clown? Why doesn’t he have to bring ’em home if everyone else is supposed to?
And, to think that I once thought she might be the sane one…
It is not surprising that Krebs relished her Steve King endorsement. Krebs already attended a Family Heritage Alliance meeting last year, an organization know to be anti-Muslim, for one. By his statements on the media, he has shown is ignorant, racist, anti-immigrant views, as well as his misogyny. It seems the majority of Republican candidates in our state, Krebs, included, are pro-2nd amendment, and anti-U.S. Constitution, public education, health care for all,… I could go on….
King is despicable, Kobach perhaps slightly less so. What wretched . . . endorsements? Eeuuwwwww!
Cory,
Do you really think people from SD care what people from Iowa think when it comes to politics?
Iowa still has 55 mph speed limits on most highways.
I have already proven the intelligence of MFI is not up to par.
Poor lickspittle Krebs, she and Tapioca have all the wrong boyfriends. All both need now is for Vladimir Putin to drop into Red Wave territory for a photo op. Meanwhile, Opie marches onward towards a showdown with the judge.
What other terrible person can she get to endorse her? Joe Arpaio? Oliver North? G. Gordon Liddy? (They have all spoken in SD at the Law Enforcement Dinner). Poor Neil Tapio. He desperately wants all of those endorsements Krebs is getting.
Jason — um, that isn’t the correct question. Your question should really be, “do you really think that people from SD care about what CONGRESSMAN STEVE KING thinks about when it comes to politics” (King does NOT represent all of Iowans)
And yes, Jason, the answer would be yes. There is an element of South Dakotans that do care what King and Kobach think. Those South Dakotans love the xenophobic racism that both of those “players” display. And obviously, Ms Krebs who is a big ole pander bear, thinks those tactics will work for her. She sure hasn’t posted photos with any of the SD contingent of Noem, Rounds or Thune…..hmmm
I’m with Loren……I used to think that Ms Krebs was more “normal” than the rest. But she continues to show that she wants to go for the low hanging fruit. Rather than actually having to work to show that she wants to actually deploy any critical thinking skills. (that was EVIDENT from her performance last night)
Dana P, if I may, the SDGOP leader is from Iowa and is bestest buddies with Steve Klingon. The bail bond king, Dan Lederman, the actual middle finger of the South Dakota Red Wave. So yeah indeed.
Jason, what are you asking me for? Krebs apparently thinks South Dakotans care what Iowa Congressman King thinks. Take it up with her.
Jerry, your question gets me wondering: does the King endorsement signal that Krebs is Lederman’s pick? Keep in mind that in 2013, she pushed Jason Gant out the door, and Gant was Powers’s buddy, which makes me think he was Lederman’s buddy. I would think Krebs had to secure King’s endorsement independent of Lederman and that King didn’t consult Lederman beforehand.
