The bad news: the fake 18% rate cap petition made the ballot with a 52% cushion.
The slightly less bad news: instead of making a video version of her news release and publishing it herself, Secretary Krebs let an inferior blogger use her announcement for his self-promotion.
Surprisingly, the error rate on the fake 18% petition was not as bad as the embarrassing 36% error rate on the Glodt Amendment that Secretary Krebs certified on December 21. The fake 18% petition and the Glodt petition were circulated by many of the same shifty, deceptive, and unscrupulous out-of-state circulators. I guess the fakers must have made a little extra effort to avoid having an error rate that matched the percentage of the real 36% rate cap, Initiated Measure 21, that they are trying to sabotage on behalf of the usury industry.
Ah, usury. The fake 18% rate cap goes to the ballot as Amendment U. That’s U, for usury. If you vote for U, you vote for usury.
Vote Yes on 21. Vote No on U.
