Noem Speaks to Right-Wingers in Paris; Trump Phones In

Governor Kristi Noem spoke in person in Paris last night at the Republicans Overseas France/Republicans Overseas Worldwide inaugural Worldwide Freedom Initiative, a gathering of right-wing radicals. ROF media director Nicolas Conquer and ROF flack and Epoch Times France writer Julian Herrero tweet pix from surely the most boring speech at the event:

Grand finale @WFI2023 with the Governor, Kristi Noem—Nicolas Conquer, tweet from Paris, 2023.11.10.
Grand finale @WFI2023 with the Governor, Kristi Noem—note the tweet time: Paris is seven hours ahead of Pierre, so my local 1:08 timestamp means this picture hit Twitter at 8:08 p.m. Paris time. Nicolas Conquer, tweet from Paris, 2023.11.10.
Thrilled to have met the governor of South Dakota in Paris this Friday with the @WFI2023—Julian Herrero, tweet from Paris, 2023.11.10.

Noem could have stayed home working on the budget and shooting pheasants. She could have Zoomed in as Canadian right-wing activist Tamara Lich did, or phoned in her ramblings, as Donald Trump did (but he doesn’t own a hotel or golf course in France, so why would he haul himself and his high-rate-paying Secret Service detachment there?), but Noem felt the need to be in Paris in the flesh, with Corey Lewandowski:

Soecial guest at @WFI2023 Donald Trump speaks by telephone to address the audience. Wow!—Nicolas Conquer, tweet from Paris, 2023.11.10.

Demonstrating their tech savvy, ROF/ROW facilitated Trump’s call to the event by holding Lewandowski’s iPhone (I thought Apple had product-placement requirements barring films from showing bad guys using their phones) to a microphone (see 4:03:57 in the unembeddable WFI2023 video):

Amidst his 3-min-20-sec staticky stream-of-conscienceless remarks, Trump claimed the United States had “no problems” during his reign.

You can watch Noem address what looks like a half-empty conference room at 8:06:00 in the unembeddable video. She spoke for 31 minutes.

She cavorts with Corey Lewandowski. That’s bad enough. But Kristi Noem is auditioning to be VP for this man…

For many months, the former President declared that he didn’t have top secret documents. Then Donald Trump claimed that the documents at Mara Lago were “planted” by the FBI. He then asserted that he “declassified” them. More recently, he admits that he had them lying around and “various people” saw them, but he had every right to do so.

Those are top national security secrets. He obviously doesn’t care about them or the people they protect.

It’s so ironic that Trump won his first race to the White House by pointing fingers at Hillary Clinton and her handling of sensitive emails. Her emails were largely unclassified and were protected to a degree. It was only a few years ago that Republicans claimed to care about such things. “Lock her up! Lock her up!”

I don’t think it’s fair to compare Trump to Nixon. He is in a league of his own. He behaves like a mafia boss. He lies, cheats and bullies his way through life. Trump cares only about himself. He is the “vice” President. He has no need for another one, Kristi.

Noem mistakenly premises her entire value system on “after huddling with my constitutional lawyers in a time of crisis [pandemic], when a leader oversteps her authority, THAT’S when we LOSE our country.” @8:07:00

So she killed 3,000 SD residents. That’s her platform. Backing up:

After killing an 18 wheeler in the yard at 14, she got 150 speeding tickets, got mad at the IRS, then got elected as a pretty Republican politician, mugged for a photo-op on the Great Wall of China at taxpayers expense with another young grifter Republican politician, likely has an eating disorder and abuses steroids, developed comfort with public speaking, got a fake college education, and has no other real skills or deep thoughts, other than mugging with another uneducated Republican twice-impeached grifter politician facing 91 felony criminal charges and a whole host of civil fraud, rape, voter suppression, caging of immigrant children, and theft of national secrets litigations.

In historical France, Christians were worried about people taking their lord’s name in vain. So, they proposed all kinds of alternatives to saying such expressions as Mon Dieu! (“My God!”) like morbleu and parbleu and akin to English euphemisms like golly or gosh for God. Bleu, meaning “blue” in French, rhymes with Dieu, making it a handy way to avoid blasphemy.

One of these ways to avoid explicitly swearing was sacrebleu, typically written in French as one word and without an accent, sacrebleu is attested to as early as 1552, although it didn’t really catch on until the early 19th century. Sacré in French means “sacred,” so taken together sacrebleu, literally means “Holy blue!” instead of sacré Dieu (“Holy God!”)

NOfem is following the same schtick of Steve Bannon, Nigel Farge, dumbo trump and the rest of the white power fascists. They all get their walkin round money from putin. No secrets there.

    “Bannon’s global agenda

“Patriots of the world, unite!” were the words of Steve Bannon speaking to the delegates of the Front National’s (today Rassemblement National) party convention in Lille in March 2018. Saying this, Bannon clearly stepped beyond his invention of what became the winning slogans for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign — “America First” and “Make America Great Again.” While these two slogans were meant for Euro (white) Americans, the slogan in France spoke to a global white supremacist audience, nationalists in European states and those founded by European colonists.

But it was only in July this year that nearly every larger newspaper reported on the already established Brussels-based organization of the former chief strategist of Donald Trump called ‘The Movement.’ The headlines warned of a movement that works to bolster European right-wing political parties for the upcoming European Parliamentary (EP) elections in May 2019. The EP is one of the European Union’s most important institutions, having legislative, budgetary and supervisory powers over the EU. Bannon’s aim is like the far-right political parties’ goal: not to strengthen the EU, but rather to divide and conquer and reshape the face of European supranational institutions.” 17/9/2018 https://bridge.georgetown.edu/research/the-far-right-in-europe-how-promising-is-steve-bannons-european-organization-the-movement/

Same old crap with the the same tired faces. Take a look at the mugshots above at this current event. The one thing different is NOfem, probably because her man has the phone…yes, they will always have Paris. I would say to get a room, but that is a done deal.

OMG…she’s is in Paris on our taxpayer dime under the premise of “State business” (I call cowcrap), and Traitor Trump calls her there! “Worldwide freedom event” — no, nope, it’s a ‘worldwide FASCIST event’. And they’re using our money to keep this Coup going. SD Voters better get their heads out and pay attention!

  12. M J Haugen 2023-11-11 14:12

Instead of her gallivanting off to some foreign country hanging out with a bunch of questionable (using the term loosely) people, she should be in SD honoring the veterans of this state. Noem has shown again what & who take priority with her. Sad it evidently it isn’t anything to do with SD

    “Worldwide Freedom Initiative”

Trump admires dictators. He has told us many times how smart they are. He even has a love affair with one of them. “He wrote me beautiful letters and we fell in love.”

The other crazies at this forum would never stand in the way of Putin and his attempt to crush the independence of Europe. Ukraine – who are they to deny Russia?

Worldwide Freedom Initiative is about as genuine as Moms for Liberty or Arbeit Macht Frei. When they tell you that they “love” monsters – believe them.

Isn’t this just a meeting of the extreme white wing’s version of the Bilderberg Grope Group?

  15. sx123 2023-11-12 06:41

@larry – This meeting serves no purpose except as a getaway. Literally nothing earth changing will come out of it. And I mean literally literally.

If Kristi Noem went to France to get an abortion she would have to get it within the first 14 weeks of pregnancy or it would be illegal.

  17. CK 2023-11-14 14:15

Yeah, that 14 week (12 weeks from last period) limit isn’t great, but France offers free birth control to women up to age 25. They’ve also enshrined access to birth control and abortion in their constitution. That’s miles beyond what we have here.
