The SDGOP spin blog is off script again… and so is Americans for Prosperity. Pat Powers reports that the plutocrats at AFP are sending out postcards cheering certain conservative legislators for approving House Bill 1137, which cuts the state sales tax from 4.5% to 4.2% for four years, starting this July 1. The AFP cards thank Sioux Falls radicals Senator Brent Hoffman (R-9) and Representatives Bethany Soye (R-9) and John Sjaarda (R-2) for voting for “THE LARGEST TAX CUT IN SOUTH DAKOTA HISTORY!”
Hey, Pat and plutocrats, weren’t you paying attention to America’s favorite Governor, Kristi Noem? When she signed HB 1137, she said it’s not a “tax cut” but a mere “tax holiday“. Just days before that signing, she said anyone who calls HB 1137 a “tax cut” is “lying“.
Thus, Governor Kristi Noem must think the plutocrats she courts for campaign cash and the SDGOP spin blog she sponsors with that cash are all liars.
The hilariously creative youtube musician, Nick Lutsko needs to do a number on the SD GOP hammerheads from this article. He dubs his original music on tracks of a public figure’s own words. I still watch the Emo Trump music video he produced about birv graveyards. . This Alex Jones Rants as an Indie Song one will split a gut. Check it out now:

@All Mammal – Thanks. Haven’t seen that one in a while. At least since Alex.Jones crawled back under his rock, developed Hulk-like green skin, and subsists on a diet of only babies. :)
AFP not advertising at Pat’s Pissoir anymore?
You betcha, P. Aitch. According to a PBS program called King, America’s beginnings and destiny are a mirror of the timeline of the life and demise of Elvis Presley: shot to the top like a rocket, lonely superstardom, exploited by a carnie, drug and cheeseburger addiction, pants down and.. scene. We are reminded daily in SD we are circling our circus years. Entertaining as it is, I’d rather not see our country go out on the crapper thanks to my failure to defeat Americans for Prosperity and KNoep. Say, know anything about two turntables and a microphone? Their words could be music spoof gold.
@AllMammal – This cut? Nice …

Like Trump, Americans for Prosperity is fading. Not exactly “going, going, gone,” but they’ve lost their clout and only have the fringe element under their influence. Please note the outcome of the Supreme Court race in Wisconsin and the abortion referendum in Kansas as examples of their slide. I read the article at the War College site, and thought Mr. Powers was even handed in his approach and a bit critical of American for Prosperity and their followers.
Mr. Powers, a noted Journalist, was indeed even handed. These AFP fellows deserve to be lambasted. Mr. H, you should lambast them, and lambast them hard.
Watching the SDGOP disintegrating in realtime is encouraging.
As Cory points out, Mr. Powers did leave Governor Noem off the hook but it goes without saying that she is in tune with Americans For Prosperity. If you’ve seen her recent, blatant, testimonial in support of the National Rifle Association, she will pander to any fringe outfit with money to donate to her Quixotic Campaign. It is also obvious she is banking the money. She has announced for no office, but is just traveling the country collecting appearance fees and pleading for campaign contributions and face time. It’s tough work, but it is a living.
P. Aitch- yes!!! You are the S-T-U-F-F! I was thinking about Beck- but Black Moon is the S-T-U-F-F. Glad that’s where you took me with it. I’m watchin you. I am working on the meme factor to get out some gun control images and wish I had some dubbing talent to make a music video to point out the ludicrous words being spewed from some of these politicians. I just keep trying to talk my tech buddies into doing it. We’ll see. We’ll keep watchin Ü
