Protect Yourself and Your Neighbors: mRNA Vaccines Reduce Risk of Coronavirus Infection by 91%

While I listen to Dr. David Basel on South Dakota Public Radio thoroughly refuting the unscientific excuses some Philip rancher comes up with for not getting the coronavirus vaccine, I feel I should spotlight the good vaccine news that the CDC released Monday and which our state Department of Health found worthy of a state press release but which our Governor hasn’t seen fit to promote through her wide-reaching social media channelsThe Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus vaccines work like gangbusters.

According to the CDC’s ongoing analysis of health care workers and other frontliners who face a higher risk of exposure to coronavirus and who were able to get the shots early, if you join my family and me in getting both doses of one of the mRNA covid-19 vaccines, you reduce your risk of infection by 91%. Partial vaccination reduces the risk by 81%.

Even if you do catch coronavirus after getting the shot, the CDC finds you won’t feel nearly as sick as you will if you choose to go without the shots:

…fully or partially vaccinated people who developed COVID-19 spent on average six fewer total days sick and two fewer days sick in bed. They also had about a 60 percent lower risk of developing symptoms, like fever or chills, compared to those who were unvaccinated [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, press release, 2021.06.07].

…and you’ll be less likely to make others sick:

…fully or partially vaccinated study participants had 40 percent less detectable virus in their nose (i.e., a lower viral load), and the virus was detected for six fewer days (i.e., viral shedding) compared to those who were unvaccinated when infected. In addition, people who were partially or fully vaccinated were 66 percent less likely to test positive for SARS-CoV-2 infection for more than one week compared to those who were unvaccinated. While these indicators are not a direct measure of a person’s ability to spread the virus, they have been correlated with reduced spread of other viruses, such as varicella and influenza [CDC, 2021.06.07].

This study is good news consistent with lots of solid science gathered in the six months that we’ve been putting mRNA vaccines in people’s arms. All the science says the coronavirus vaccines are working better than expected. So listen to the CDC, and listen to the doctors: get your shots!!!

And hey, Rancher Bill, if Dr. Basel still can’t convince you to get your shots, just stay out at the ranch, and on those rare occasions when you come to town, keep wearing your mask. You may not love science, but I’m sure you love your neighbors.

But, John Dale says that Covid was only released to make Trump look bad. (As if that was a difficult task.)

  2. Mark Anderson 2021-06-09 14:24

At least all the vaccine “hesitancy” is among the right people.

  3. Spike 2021-06-09 14:41

Rancher Bill vaccinates his calves, cows and bulls on a regular basis. He couldn’t survive in the business without them. He apparently listens to his vet but won’t listen to his doc.

  4. Arlo Blundt 2021-06-09 14:46

Great point Spike. I can’t figure it out, this reluctance to vaccinate against a killer disease. The virus does not care about religion or politics. Its just a bit of protein but it has one job…to kill you and then move on to another host.

  5. mike from iowa 2021-06-09 16:27

If magats chews not to vaccinate and then die, good for them. wouldn’t want their religious freedumbs get in the way of mass essential suicide. And far be it from me to have to remind them wooly buggers they are destined to become majority minority before too long. If they want to rush the inevitable along, go for it I say.

My heart soars for the day when wasicus get treated the way they treat minorities.

Spike, the SDPB report mentions Rancher Bill’s diligent and scientific care for his profitable beasts. But he says we take 5-10 years and spend lots of money to test livestock vaccines for safety and effectiveness, so he doesn’t trust these quickly developed coronavirus vaccines. Dr. Basel’s response about the extent of study done on these new mRNA vaccines appears to refute the rancher’s point.

  7. John Dale 2021-06-09 19:42

Porter is not telling the truth (again).

It must kill Porter, mike, et al that a dirt poor dandelion farmer from lowly Spearfish, SD carries so much credibility through this fraud.

Huge lies like this must be pushed hard to take-hold.

I hope everyone is taking appropriate nutrients and staying healthy!

The human immune system leaves these pharma hacks in the DUST.

  8. Porter Lansing 2021-06-09 19:50

    Credibility, Dale?

Even Pat Powers'”Blog of Ignorance” collectively thinks you’re a kook.

  9. mike from iowa 2021-06-09 19:53

Anyone fluent in trollese wanna take a stab at this latest hogwash from Johnny 5G? Magat rabbit holes must have violated China’s borders by now.

  10. John Dale 2021-06-09 19:59

The same entities are pushing vaccines for cows, people, macro-ag, and cancer causing growing methods that don’t allow for a more healthy food system. I would expect a Rancher to be more in tune with this than most.

We had a dairy here North of Spearfish that had been there for a very long time (mom knew them when she went to High School in Belle). They didn’t push their cows, grass fed them, allowed them to graze and move, and limited medical care while building the natural immune systems of the cows, and thus increasing the natural and healthy microbial activity in the raw milk they were selling.

    Nobody was getting sick.

They were running a booming business.

South Dakota took them out through a slow, methodical attack using exacting state power.

Interestingly, fighting vaccine tyranny means taking back the food system?

Let’s work on this issue together. We have many points of agreement. But we’re being pitted against one another.

    All barbs and joking aside.

I’ve done some major upgrades to our infrastructure and operations here in Spearfish, so the content has been slow publishing (I also like to wait and see and research and consider before publishing to help improve accuracy). But I have still been doing research every day for hours, and if there is something particular important I have been posting a little text blurb in the left column as a kind of emergency notification.

If you have a PSA, insight, perspective, evidence (whistleblowers welcome and protected), drop me a note using the contact information at the site. I don’t hate you guys and gals. Life is too short for that. You are all worthwhile and brave humans who faced this day with me together.

There is a right and a wrong, a good and a bad, but we must work together to figure out what that is, and to take careful, human-first action.

Thank you for facing this day with me together, and we’ll see you tomorrow.

    Sincerely,

    John

I am not getting any vaccines.

I will not allow them for my children.

I eat well, take vitamins, get sunshine, supplement D in Winter, and live “bewegung” (German for “motion” or “movement”).

  12. John Dale 2021-06-09 20:11

    Porter and mike;

I am a kook, bra. *throws hang loose sign”

A lifetime of being picked-on toughened me up, I guess.

At least my dad didn’t name me Sue.

Any of you want to come on my show and dialog/debate?

Open invitation. Accept it or you’re just feckless kooks (for real, being a kook is about talking a big game, but not delivering .. so come on the show .. or not).

The folly of overuse of wireless is well documented.

We need to invest in growing better food before we deploy a multifaceted trojan horsed lock down technology in the name of shooting down drones.

Get thee behind me, mike from iowa.

    :)

    Sincerely,

    John

  13. Arlo Blundt 2021-06-09 20:56

John Dale__what you say about natural immunity is probably very effective against many common bacteria…viruses are a tougher nut to crack, but natural immunity didn’t do much against polio bacteria or the pneumonia of the 1918-20 epidemic which killed young people before the old. Now we have a unique, perhaps man made or a morphed virus from an animal host (some say bats) that kills people with weakened immunity especially the elderly or those with chronic health conditions. My brother in law died of Covid at 70, he had adult on set leukemia which he had dealt with medically for years but which suppressed his immune system. It has killed 2,000 South Dakotans, more people than live in some of our counties. More people than live in over half our county seat towns. The combination of ignorance and a persistent belief in psuedo science is keeping the virus alive. It must be killed. It can have no more hosts. Vaccinate now.

  14. Donald Pay 2021-06-09 21:15

John Dale, You sound rather rational about your health in other areas. I think we all should do what you are doing with respect to eating well, taking vitamins (in moderation), and getting exercise. Vitamin D is important for me, too.

I grew up in the polio scare, and our generation saw pictures of kids in iron lungs. One of my friends limped from getting polio. We had a lot of diseases back then that took kids’ lives. Our Dads had all gone through the military in WWII, so they had no hesitation at all about their kids getting vaccinated. I always made sure my child was vaccinated, but I admit in my young adult days I skipped vaccinations, doctor appointments, etc. I got the flu three times in my adult life All three times I was very sick. After the third one, which stretched on for a couple weeks, I decided to get the flu shot, and I’ve gotten it every year since then.

I agree that vaccination is overdone in animal husbandry, but that’s mostly the result of too much concentrated feeding. I worked on brucellosis during the 1980’s, which was more about aborted calves causing decreased production, rather than animal or human health. Still, if you didn’t vaccinate and cattle crossed the fence line, you had a big lawsuit on your hands.

  15. Porter Lansing 2021-06-09 21:20

Thanks for the invitation to appear on your show?

    How much does it pay?

  16. ds 2021-06-09 22:18

Stick your two pinkie fingers into your two nostrils. Clamp your mouth shut and see how long you can last as you struggle for air. This is reality if you catch this Covid 19 virus and are rushed to a hospital to be put on a ventilator. No it is NOT just another flu-like virus. I don’t give a crap if you want to risk YOUR health or YOUR life but our 10-year old daughter is not old enough for a vaccination and you who deny that the vaccination has worked near 100% in protecting the recipient…AND those unable to be vaccinated that they encounter… are endangering many lives. So quit quacking about stupid vaccine conspiracy theories and GET VACCINATED!

  17. grudznick 2021-06-09 22:32

Mr. Lansing, grudznick had to sign a NDA but I can tell you appearing on Mr. Dale’s show is very lucrative. Very.

Here’s a tip: make him promise you a full breakfast after the show

  18. John Dale 2021-06-09 23:19

Arlo – sorry to hear about your brother in law. Comorbidities were one of the numbers that we have scrutinized. It’s a very big picture with a lot of moving parts .. designed that way!

If immunity problems come from malnutrition and poverty, then the dirty thirties were a cesspool and I’m not surprised we had a lot of disease. Anyone who doesn’t eat right will find their demise too early.

Note – we had several alternative treatments, so the emergency authorization was dubious.

Arlo and Donald – thank you for being reasonable and not personally defaming like *ahem* some others. :D

Please review the link I posted. I’m not a biologist, but we do have viruses in software, where Bill Gates seems to have opened the door to them .. and now us?

Grudz – I think a mind virus has eaten the part of your brain that used to be funny. To address the problem, have mike from iowa check your oil.

    da da, zing.

  19. John Dale 2021-06-09 23:23

I dunno, guys .. I just feel like the entire world is waking-up to the fact that the system is rigged by self-serving morons.

    Change my mind.

Regarding payment for coming on the show .. I didn’t pay John McAfee, Leo Zagami, Mark Meckler, Tara Volesky, Lora Hubbel, Jami Lynn, Kevin Lynn, or any of the other guests I’ve had on. What will you bring to the table that they didn’t?

  20. DaveFN 2021-06-10 01:54

Rancher Slovek concludes “I don’t see a need for it,” regarding the vaccine.

266 COVID cases and 10 deaths to date attributed to COVID in Haakon County.

Could the “need” not be that vaccination might just save his own life?

  21. John Dale 2021-06-10 07:38

Found this morning from the Washington Examiner. There were viable alternative treatments that made the emergency use authorization illegal and unnecessary, which puts the experimental shot program (some call them “vaccines”) in the category of wide scale, non-consented (truly with full disclosure) experiment.

Given how many people are being harmed by the shots, this is a similar precursor to when Nazi Scientists were executed after WWII.

    Arrest Fauci. It’s a start.

  22. John Dale 2021-06-10 08:28

Also, scientific process of hypothesis explained with respect to the vaccines being used to carry an RF collector/antenna:
    https://twitter.com/Tylerjoelb/status/1402286405511008258

Scientific process says we can follow up on this hypothesis to confirm/disconfirm.

It does not say anywhere in the scientific process that we should strongly consider industry funded sham oppo research (like Motorola was caught red handed doing with technology researcher Carlo, who correctly confirmed a Department of the Navy study from the 70’s that wireless causes cancer and DNA damage).

The evidence suggests the following hypothesis: The American people are being put into a distributed wireless radiation oven by the Nazi ethos embedded into our brainwashed, extorted, blackmailed leaders.

  23. John Dale 2021-06-10 08:32

It’s crazy that the vaccines could be related to 5G, right?

But Hitler was pretty crazy, too, so .. I guess it’s possible.

The thing that bothers me is .. we know that hair follicles are antennas for millimeter waves:
    http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/statstudcomm/committees/1474/reports/5G%20final%20report.pdf

Cited from this report: ““Exposure to non-ionizing electromagnetic fields emitted from mobile
phones induced DNA damage in human ear canal hair follicle cells.”

I encourage you to read the report and let me know what you think.

Shouting ‘No Vaccine,’ Tennessee Woman Nearly Ran Over Seven People at COVID-19 Vaccination Site:…

    Leslie;

Around 5000 people have died from taking the vaccine according to Sherri Tenpenny (from the video link above).

    Sincerely,

  26. John Dale 2021-06-10 08:37

DaveFN – very morbid approach, but I would question the tests used, whether there were co-morbidities, and whether this was a significant deviation in rate from past years. I do not like using the “but people die every day” argument, here, but it is important to understand if we have a situation that deviates from the norm.

Spoiler alert – the data says getting Covid gives immunity, too, and a healthy functioning immune system ensures survival.

This all neglects to consider the origins of Covid, and the disposition of ignorant-by-design, drug-trained sociopaths administering within the medical community?

Front line workers are my heroes. Administrators get paid too much for doing too little.

  27. Dicta 2021-06-10 10:01

  28. Dicta 2021-06-10 10:08

Also, random aside: she doesn’t seem to understand what VAERS is or how it works. Anyone can report anything. Some reports are nonsense–one anesthesiologist successfully submitted a VAERS report that the flu vaccine had turned him into The Incredible Hulk. But in John’s world, any and all claims must be investigated so long as some mouth breather believes them.

  29. cibvet 2021-06-10 10:18

Vaccinations are bad, but drinking bleach and using anal light bulbs are good. How ever,if that don’t work and you survive on a ventilator for ten days, it is OK to pump in a cocktail of drugs to see if you will survive your stupidity. Get vaccinated and avoid covid, also shave your head if you believe your hair is an antenna the government can use for control propaganda.

  30. Spike 2021-06-10 10:27

I would be curious as to what ‘vitamins’ Mr. Dale takes?
Vitamin marketing is a 12 billion dollar scam. Been researched for years and years by the best medical experts in the world. Too many variables in production, regulation, etc….

I’m all for Mr. Dales healthy eating, etc. But when he talks about the sheep and scams that vitamin business is right up near the top.

I agree with grdz that breakfast gravy probably is the secret to long life and happiness. With a side of covid vaccine.

  31. mike from iowa 2021-06-10 10:33

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/vaxxter/ Sherri Tenpenny is a quack and conspiracy theorist. This dumb broad claims vaccines magnetize your forehead so your key will stick to you. The exact kind of ‘expert’ testimony I come to expect from 5G Johnny.

Crawl back into whatever hellhole you escaped from, laddie.

  32. grudznick 2021-06-10 10:39

Mr. cibvet, I really like your hair shaving idea. I may point Ms. Hubbel to your idea and then to my favorite barber.

  33. mike from iowa 2021-06-10 11:01

Don’t need to cut hair, vaccines are introducing tracking devices and changing drumpf votes to Biden as we speak. At least many people say so.

In this thread: There is a direct correlation between civility and the presence of a first and last name attached to a post. As of the time of this writing, 100% correlation.

Vitamins: multivitamin I got from the local health food store, also Emergen-C. Occasionally supplement iodine (good halogen), b12, and other supplements appropriate for a real man my age.

Grudz posts what appears to be an unauthorized media hack job on Tenpenny. I thought grudz was better than that .. he has ants in his pants, now, perhaps the only action he’s gotten in years.

Get vaccinated or get corona – it’s more like get vaccinated and GET corona. The side effects can be really bad, too.

Somebody! Quick! Post a un-credible article debunking Hank Aaron’s death!

Close your eyes, sweet prince, go to sleep. Laura Ingram did not report on Operation Lock Step. Bill Gates didn’t create an injectable biometric remote RFID-type technology. The election wasn’t stolen.

Grudz doesn’t know this, so don’t tell him while he deals with his ants issue, but I did do my GA at the Arizona Remote Sensing Center in Tucson. I became familiar with the trajectory of remote sensing technology, and how certain targets can be painted and analyzed.

For those of us who are not science deniers, the hypothesis is that the vaccine paints people with a biometric ID. The “vaccines” would be carriers. Any shot will do. Go confirm/disconfirm the hypothesis with intellectual honesty if you can step-out of the punditry bubble.

Lastly, sweet prince, this was most certainly NOT published by the UN in 2012:

  37. John Dale 2021-06-10 11:32

    Dear Dicta:

“You’d be better off not posting under your real name, John. Whatever remains of your reputation is continuing to be shredded by your constant need to feel special by believing every conspiracy theory someone farts in your direction.”

    This is not truthful.

I don’t believe Trump is a woman hating racist Nazi incarnate.

It’s my personal believe that people in the habit of baseless attacks and crimes against others are less inclined to post their real identities.

My philosophy – never f anybody over .. TRULY F them over .. like .. on purpose .. be intellectually honest and share real thoughts and ideas with others .. and one doesn’t have to look over one’s shoulder constantly. Although, there are some science denying crazies that do give me cause for pause. The devil’s in the details, we sellin’ info like retail, did the devil make them do it, or will science get them through it.

My bigger concern is his following of propagandist playbooks.

    1) Find sources that support your worldview
    2) Do zero research on the credibility, reproducibility of the claims presented or the person presenting them
    3) Throw as many of these sources at a wall as you can, hoping they stick
    4) When pressed, either refuse to answer or just move on to another claim
    5) Declare victory
