I wish good health to all… but Governor Noem, of course, is morally and politically obliged to issue a tweet criticizing such socialism and the Republicans who embrace it.
When your life may be on the line, people tend to find religion and socialism. They are linked inextricably. If there is an afterlife, and I’m not saying there is, it is a socialist paradise. The Bible says so. Jesus was big on free lunch and free medicine. Religion is the socialism of the people.

My mom (who was a devout Lutheran) always claimed to believe that i n heaven, one would be always engaged in activities that one truly found joy and happiness in. Now, one could imagine that some folks find great pleasure and happiness in working, and making gobs of money, or being a purely charitable soul and giving away other people’s money, or perhaps, simply couch potatoing. She imagined that for those condemned to “the other place”, much of their pain and suffering would be the result of being able to observe their “rivals” being happy and successful at everything they engaged in in paradise, while their own endeavors serially and perpetually failed. Maybe under that scheme, your own paradise would involve living happily ever after in a socialist paradise, while folks in the other place would be perpetually promoting capitalism and having it fail them?? PS; My dad’s take on all this was “Heaven and hell are right here on earth.”

There was once a car accident in Clay County where one lady was driving the right way on highway 50 (she died) and another lady was driving the wrong way on 50 ( her car killed the lady). The survivor probably felt bad her mistake killed someone- Her consequences- 2 misdemeanor fines totalling $112! That’s all! The cost of a human life.
SD laws are amazingly soft on non booze related accidents. Basically the laws are weaponizing cell phone use.
I don’t know what state of SD will do.
Perhaps build a memorial garden for Joe Boever, where the gardener can get a salary 50% higher than Jump Suit Ravnsborg. His life was sacred.

It is perhaps ironic, that just as South Dakota approaches herd immunity levels, poor Mr. PP get struck down by the covid bugs. He is truly an unlucky fellow, and soon only the unluckiest will be prostrated by the covid. Let us hope all so inflicted recover fast.
The only herd immunity possible in magat land Northern Mississippi is immunity from reality. It is an inbred trait from too many decades of one party rule.
