Exclusive DFP Interview #2: Wayne Frederick for PUC

Democrat Wayne Frederick spoke to Dakota Free Press Sunday about his campaign for the Public Utilities Commission:

If Frederick can beat incumbent Kristie Fiegen, he’d become South Dakota’s 46th Public Utilities Commissioner.

    “We need SD to not be a ‘pass through state, but to have permanent infrastructure.”

    That’s really smart. Then SD could put the endlessly blowing wind to their own use.

    He has actual plans to use the state’s resources to benefit SD. What a novel idea! He is not interested in simply puckering up to the Big Oil/Energy companies.

    I am impressed! SD has really good candidates. Now vote for them!

  2. You’re right, Debbo: Wayne’s observation about South Dakota’s “pass-through” status is a useful framework for improving our utilities policy. We need to gain more benefit from the pipelines and other projects we host.
