South Dakota League of Women Voters logoFerguson will be heading to Pierre next month to cover the daily workings in the Capitol and will give a legislative preview as well as an update on the current congressional and gubernatorial races. She’ll also answer any questions about any of the stories she’s filed over the last year on a range of important topics affecting policy and politics in South Dakota.

Buffet lunch is available for purchase and we’ll have info on joining and getting more involved in League. Join us, bring a friend and share the event with someone who might be interested! [Sioux Falls League of Women Voters, Facebook event, retrieved 2017.12.11]

Making Democracy Work, reads the League of Women Voters logo. The free press is a vital part of making democracy work. Stop by lunch Thursday and remind Ferguson (not that she needs reminding, but say it) that she works for democracy, not just Gannett.

Cory, It would be helpful to South Dakota if a shift occurred toward eating at independent establishments instead of chain restaurants. Pizza Ranch corporate profits go to Iowa. Local pizza places support local projects at a higher percentage. I know you’re all about Pizza Ranch mashed potatoes but Pizza Ranch isn’t as good a neighbor as a local family pizza parlor.
PS … Pizza Ranch is a Christian-based company. The Pizza Ranch vision is “To glorify God by positively impacting the world we live in. As a chef and a member of UCC, I can certify that God don’t give a darn about pizza!
