Noem on Recess; Noem Baloney Working Overtime

With the House adjourned for the August recess, Representative Kristi Noem is home telling whoppers just like Senator Mike Rounds about her destructive health insurance votes. Let’s focus on just one bogus claim from her latest chip-flipping radio interview:

Number of true statements Rep. Noem is capable of making per interview?

The goal should be to get people off of Medicaid. The goal should be to get people in jobs and working and raise their incomes so they can have their own insurance plans, and that’s really what the bill that I voted for does [Rep. Kristi Noem, transcribed from audio, “Noem Says People Did Not Get All the Facts on ACA Repeal,” Hub City Radio, 2017.07.31].

Yes, Rep. Noem, the “mean” bill you voted for certainly would have gotten people off Medicaid—millions booted immediately by ending the ACA Medicaid expansion, then more by underfunding the program with per-capita funding caps—but it included absolutely no provisions to get people in jobs, raise incomes, or make insurance more affordable. Your House bill would have resulted in a million lost jobs and would have raised premiums for many of the low-income people you pretend you are helping.

I know hundreds of people with disabilities (babies, children and adults), including my 6 year old great niece and 10 year old great nephew, whose medical needs are met with Medicaid. It appears Ms. Noem has no clue how vital Medicaid is to millions of people. If she does, she does not care one bit.

All she’s saying is that for her to keep getting her big government checks and her government healthcare then someone else has to give theirs up because Booker’s share of the national debt has gone up greatly since the GOP Party gained control of congress in 2010, and that’s a bad thing – as she said in 2010. Something’s got to give, and the government benefits she gets ain’t what’s going to give.

Noem shows what a cruel person she is. She enjoys great coverage as a gov’t employee, however votes to let everyone who is less fortunate die.

If she was serious abut health care reform they would go to a one payer system or a plan similar to Australia’s

Noem must not have a grandma or grandpa or any other family members or friends on Medicare or Medicaid that would cause her to be so reckless with her healthcare votes.

Rote memorized talking points is all she “knows”.

Oh, so now it was a jobs bill, huh? Even though, all along, it was actually a bill to cut taxes for the rich that was disguised as a health care bill, however… Wow!

My goodness, maybe Representative Noem should start by explaining to the people of South Dakota why she voted for the repeal of ObamaCare umpteen times without any viable replacement in hand, although promised; and why she voted to repeal ObamaCare umpteen times without a replacement, while her fellow Republican, who she hopes to succeed as governor, kept running to Washington time and time again to bring ObamaCare to South Dakota to meet the medical needs of thousands of South Dakotans who are underpaid by employers, employers I might add, who often contribute to Noem’s political campaigns to begin with….. My goodness.

    Bologna manufacturing is on over-drive.

Yet, STILL, over 50% of South Dakota supports its home gown little baby Palin-Trump. What could ever break the brainwarshin’ – or snap ’em out of this hypnosis – or autopilot – or whatever you want to call it? Why do they STILL love this CRAP?

I’ll tell you why: it’s because they simply hate Liberals. They hate ’em, and they fear ’em – cause them city folk ain’t as smart as they think they are [or as smart as y’all know they is]. That, and Alex Jones sells great nutritional supplements. I mean, if you want to boost testosterone, try his wild turkey bone broth + red algae formula… and weak old men in rural states need that stuff just to feel any good at all.

If only a liberal, of the cut of Alex Jones, could surface – and sell these much needed supplements to the aging rural populations – Democrats could also reach this remote demographic through the vehicle of blending the sale of real actual snake oil with political fantasy, and achieve a strong rural base.
