Plan for Long Lines Tuesday… Plan to Vote!

I’ve been telling local voters that, with ten ballot measures that will inevitably catch some folks by surprise at the polls on Tuesday, lines and waits at the polls could be long, even here in Aberdeen. One strategy my Bath neighbors have suggested is going down to Stratford to vote—there’s never a line down there, right? (Remember, Brown County has voting centers, meaning we can vote at any polling place in the county… and I’ll see a few District 3 votes from places like Stratford and Hecla well outside of District 3.)

Whether you’re going to try beating the courthouse lines by driving to Stratford or whether you decide to vote after work instead of during your 30-minute lunch break, you should plan ahead. Vice-President Joe Biden agrees: Plan to Vote!

Don’t mop yourself into a corner with not enough time to get to the polls. Plan ahead, and be part of the big show on Tuesday. Plan to Vote!

Voted for Novstrup, Kaiser and Briscoe early and avoided the lines. Early voting is so easy and much more conveniant.

CAH did Don Briscoe indicate he or the family might bring back Aunt Chillotas? They used to make a mean Indian Taco! Many Aberdonians miss that place! All that is left is a small coffee hut for drive thru service. The old 2 story prefab building is gone.

Don used to do his own Aunt Chilotta radio commercials all the time. Could of been a start to his radio career.

I’ve never had to stand in line in Frederick. And there are always smiling and friendly ladies checking your name and giving you your ballot. Come on up north!

  5. (Hogan, if I recall correctly, Al mentioned Aunt Chilada’s sidelong during one of his comments, perhaps about youth minimum wage. I heard no mention of bringing the store back… but check with Don! Send him your encouragement!)

(And even with you mistaken vote, I’ll still be happy to hear your concerns when I go to Pierre for you in January. I look forward to meeting you in person. :-) )

  6. Frederick! Thanks for the suggestion, Heidi! Perhaps I will buzz up there and vote someday… but tomorrow, I’m not leaving town. I’ll vote at 7 a.m., then get back to work.
