Northern Plains Sustainable Agriculture Summit in Aberdeen January 21–23

Before you head to Rapid City or Sioux Falls to hear Koch Brothers’ propagandist Stephanie Maier reinforce your failing sense of white privilege by telling you that political correctness is really a conspiracy hatched by Europeans, Fabians, and Socialists (good to see Americans for Prosperity is already counterprogramming the Bernie Sanders nomination), why not come to Aberdeen for a dose of useful reality?

NPSAS Winter Conference 2016The Northern Plains Sustainable Agriculture Summit is holding its 2016 winter conference here at the Aberdeen Ramkota this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, January 21–23. Keynote speakers include Organic Valley veterinarian Dr. Paul Dettloff from Wisconsin and Food and Water Watch founder and director Wenonah Hauter from Washington, DC.

Dettloff will give four presentations at the conference, including his keynote address on “Sustainable Tips to Produce Food for Humanity” plus presentations on the effects of DC currents on livestock, livestock disease, and sustainable soils for organic plant production. Hauter will deliver a keynote on the concentration of ownership in the food industry (which she wrote about in her 2012 book Foodopoly) and a presentation on organizing for activism. The conference also features over 50 exhibitors and organic meals.

Pre-conference workshops happen Thursday afternoon; exhibits and presentations happen Friday and Saturday. Online registration is closed, but NPSAS is taking registrations at the door. Come put some healthy ideas in your head and healthy food in your tummy this weekend in Aberdeen!

This would be so good wish I could attend. Organic food is so appealing to me and the organic meals portion . Buy local and grow local our own food for our health and the economy.!!
