The kind of hyperpartisan attack-doggery Noem has adopted from her lie coach Corey Lewandowski appears to be turning some traditional Michigan Republican activists away from their party’s biennial leadership conference on Mackinac Island:
Attendance is down from a record 2,370 registrants in 2015, and the usually fully booked Grand Hotel still had weekend rooms available on its website Thursday morning. Michigan Republican Party spokesman Gus Portela said the conference is about soliciting new ideas to help defeat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and other Democrats in 2022, and that the party does not take sides in primaries. He expects late registrations will bring attendance to around 1,500, which he said is comparable to recent years.
Attendance is down at most events during the pandemic, but several Michigan Republicans said heightened partisanship has made them less active in politics, even when they cited family or other reasons for staying away from Mackinac this year [Paul Egan, “Michigan GOP to Tackle ‘Election Integrity,’ Critical Race Theory at Mackinac Conference,” Detroit Free Press, 2021.09.24].

The Michigan GOP conference had a session on “election integrity” yesterday, at which RNC “election integrity” director Josh Findlay said the party plans to flood polling places with poll watchers in 2022 and swamp the courts with lawsuits to overturn unfavorable results. If Governor Noem sticks around after her morning speech today, she can from the Heritage Foundation on how to fight critical race theory today. But the MRLC has not scheduled any sessions on human trafficking, a topic of keen interest to Noem and Gaetz.
I had just taken a shower, but that Vanity Fair article on Gaetz and Luckey you link in your blog made me feel as if I hadn’t done a very thorough job. It draws a picture of these limousine fascists as trailer trash on a higher scale. I hope the Luckey ties her tubes or Matty boy will be procreating his next underage victims.
It makes you wonder why Noem wants to hang out with the limousine fascist crowd. Luckey’s parents funded Steven King, the northwest Iowa fascist clown. Is it the money she’s bilking? Is it the the tainted fame she seeks? She gets something out of abasing herself. Noem’s always struck me as being a bit of a trailer trash climber. The psychology of these people baffle me. It’s kind of like “The Great Gatsby.”
They don’t want Noem? She will have entirely original thoughts on abortion, CRT, the stolen election, the great replacement, throw in George Soros. What more could you ask for?
Ginger Luckey is widely known as the fiancee of Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz. She is originally from Santa Barbara. California. She attended the University of California and graduated in Economics and Accounting.
She is the sister of Oculus VR founder Palmer Luckey. Her brother became wealthy, in 2014, when he sold his virtual reality company to Facebook, when he was just 21 years old, and is now known as a generous donor to the Republican Party.
Luckey and Gaetz are hubby and wife magats.

Well, I read she was 26, which means she’s two thirteen years old. And, Lord have mercy, she SHOULD have her tubes tied, but she’s not smart enough because she married Gaetz, serial f*cker of children. Frankly, ArloBlundt, I would agree with you about Kristi Lynn’s “personal magnetism”, but I’ve existed too long in Hot Springs and Fall River County where men openly lust after her in the presence of their wives and children. I have never been so disillusioned in my whole life when a local, highly respected neighbor declared at the Mueller Civic Center he wished Kristi Lynn would suck him off like she did Paul Ryan. This man’s wife was dying from her third recurrence of cancer.

Yvonne…your perception is very good…they don’t look like a honeymoon couple to me, either. A gentleman walks next to the curb and one would think he would have an arm around her. Instead, he has his hand in his pocket, counting his change.
From a purely mercenary standpoint, I hope someone in the bride-of-gaetz’s family insisted she had a prenup. He’s hired Mukasey, Kirshner, and Fernich as his criminal defense attorneys on accounta he’s done nuffin’ wrong, and I’m not sure his “Friends of Matt Gaetz” checking account can cover their fees.
A marriage of convenience to impress the court when he gets tried for trafficking minors. I’ll give the marriage a year and hopefully she will take him to the cleaners during the divorce. For my part, it is moral pluralism, but she probably will be well compensated in the end.
