Biden Plan Will Put 7.4 Million More Americans to Work

Donald Trump’s example notwithstanding, acting in your self-interest isn’t always bad. For instance, if you’re still trying to figure out for whom to cast your vote, you could settle on pure self-interest: which candidates are more likely to help you get a job?

The answer to that question, says Moody Analytics, is Joe Biden, along with all those other Democrats on your ballot:

Moody’s Analytics found that Biden’s economic proposals, if enacted, would create 7.4 million more jobs than would Trump’s. The economy would return to full employment in the second half of 2022, nearly two years earlier than under Trump’s plan, Moody’s said.

“The economic outlook is strongest under the scenario in which Biden and the Democrats sweep Congress and fully adopt their economic agenda,” wrote Moody’s economists led by Mark Zandi, who advised Senator John McCain during the 2008 presidential race [Matt Egan, “Goldman Sachs: A Democratic Sweep Would Mean Faster Economic Recovery,” CNN, 2020.10.06].

Keep it simple: you want to work? You want America to work? Vote for Biden. Vote for Democrats.

UNACCEPTABLE! While we struggle to right the ship of state that Republicans torpedoed over and over three years running…locally Republican “leaders” dish out the same old sheit. “Not me! I didn’t do it!” Says Mayor Allender.

In the 30s the boarding school closed. Almost 2000 acres of prime West Rapid City land was scooped up in the 50s by the city and Congress vitiated Indian Ownership (there is a reversionary clause for the good and welfare of Indians in perpetuity). Heather Thompson Esq has unearthed details Indian elders (Winona Society) have been raising FOR DECADES with city hall.

Who sought the 50s congressional intervention? City Hall and greedy speculators, developers, churches. Their buildings sit all over West Rapid City today. Must be nice, the Indian might say, on the way to jail for “pandering”. No jobs for the reservation Indian.

As the nation moves into the future, are we to leave the Indians in the dust? Again? Again? As soon as Trump and Pence are gone, lets get rid of Republican leadership in Rapid City and make a real difference, and live like neighbors of good conscience on this Indian land! There is no forgetting.

President Trump has directed the Senate to end stimulus discussions and work to focus ONLY on the installation of his Supreme Court nominee. Just another example of how the GOP/Right/Trump party puts the welfare of the nation under the threat of a pandemic second to their social warfare campaign.

Just a reminder: the court is now 5-3 in its conservative leaning. A new conservative justice is NOT needed for the conservatives to have a majority to move their conservative judicial agenda forward. However, the pain and suffering (even the economic pain and suffering – the only GOP metric of pain and suffering) is real and present now.

I hope the Biden campaign will not try to dumb down the message when it comes to explaining their plan for job creation IE stay away from the labels and concentrate on the specifics.

In my opinion the key to getting a coherent message across is to break the overall plan into segments and thoroughly explain in plain English how it could be implemented and what the benefits will be.

There are so many opportunities in energy conservation, renewable energy production, smart grid energy transmission just to name a few. Fossil fuels are killing our planet and the producers have corrupted our governance with dark money and shady back room deals.

Well that’s my two cents worth. U GO JOE & KAMALA!

The crazier Loony “Leader” sounds lately, the less anyone is going to trust his economic babblings. Even more former followers are departing the fringes of the cult.
Q-tip didn’t do them any favors in tonight’s debate against Sen. Harris. Most people liked the fly more than him.

Larissa Fast Horse (Sicangu Lakota) just did South Dakota proud and more importantly, Lakota people. What an honor for her hard work!! Genius Grant no less!!
    https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2020/10/8/1984807/-Sicangu-Lakota-Nation-playwright-to-receive-MacArthur-Foundation-grant

“The MacArthur Foundation has named 21 individuals that comprise the 2020 class of its Fellows Program, known more informally as the “Genius Grants.” As in years past, the new list spans writers, artists, scientists, and more. The grants each consist of a “no strings attached” stipend of $625,000, distributed over five years as an investment in their potential and development of future works.

Among the recipients is playwright Larissa Fast Horse, whose works include The Thanksgiving Play (in which a group of white teaching artists scramble to create an ambitious, “woke” Thanksgiving pageant that also celebrates Native American Heritage Month). She is the first Native American writer to be featured on the top 10 list of plays produced in the country.” https://www.playbill.com/article/playwright-larissa-fasthorse-among-macarthur-foundations-2020-genius-grant-recipients

This is how you inspire people to work hard, and this kind of diligence is what will bring us together and out of the trump/republican economic rut, good for her!!
