Good for them! District 27, as far as I’m concerned, should extend into Rapid City because the gerrymandering around Rapid City makes it impossible to get good representation in the Legisalture for Rapid City’s Indian population and whites who are to the left of George Armstrong Custer.
My, my, my. South Dakota gubmint got a whole lot prettier and smarter and somewhat more diverse for a group averse to diversity. No sexist intent intended.
Despite the stunning locale where reality celebrity Geo Armstrong sought to prospect gold and perhaps steal a Presidential nomination, Custer Dems are very active!! Perhaps the best in the Hills! (1868 treaty land, all.)
Sarge doesn’t know history or the people in this Indian Country as he insinuated in the Butina/Erickson thread under Mueller’s probe likely ensnaring our Russian spy and her Republican Joy Boy. Oh Dusty, “Et Tu?”
People need not be in RC to hear from the new Dist 27 legislators. The same day (12/12) at 1 PM CST on SDPB web, they will join other newly elected legislators on the “Where Do We Go From Here?” program. It’s a program they record in RC studio and archive on the web. Anyone with an internet-capable device can access the programs – live or archived – quite easily. You can and I think you should.
I purchased some chances on a drawing for a rifle by the Custer County Democrats at the last Buffalo Roundup. There was a nice crew there with campaign stuff and the right attitude. I didn’t win but appreciated the way they were raising money. I would strongly recommend other county Democrats to do the same kind of fund raising for their candidates. Have a trap shoot for holiday hams or turkey’s. Good stuff leslie.
Thanks for the programming note, Curt! District 27’s representatives are sending an important message that legislators work for all of South Dakota, not just the district that elected them. Pourier and Foster also represent a minority population that lives in Rapid City and all around the state.
Peri and Red Dawn make my cup runneth over with pride.
You go, gals!!!
So someone who attends, please provide us with a report. Thank you.
