The top sheet is the new official guess of how much general fund revenue South Dakota will take in this fiscal year, approved by Joint Appropriations this morning. That $1.586 billion is sixth hundredths of a percent higher than what the Legislature projected last year.
The bottom sheet is our best guess for next fiscal year’s general fund revenue, also approved this a.m. $1.641 billion is 3.47% more than we budgeted for FY2018 and 1.61% ($26 million) more than Governor Daugaard recommended for FY2019, but just 0.049% ($800,000) more than requested by the various state agencies.
