The Watertown Public Opinion‘s online readers appear to have a firm grip on reality. WPO’s current online poll asks, “If Congress passes a tax cut, how much do you think it will help you: great deal, somewhat, not much, [or] not at all?” The results as of 08:45 CST today:
Maybe WPO just doesn’t have many rich readers besides Neal Tapio and Lee Schoenbeck. Remember that half of the Trump tax cuts go to the top 1%. And according to a new analysis released yesterday by the Tax Policy Center, by 2027, the Senate GOP tax plan will cause taxes to go up for 50.3% of taxpayers.
The Senate gets back to work on Monday. Senators are scheduled to put in three full five-day weeks in Washington, then adjourn for the holidays on December 15.
It still amazes me of how many of the Trump voters and continued supporters will see NO or very little benefit from the tax cuts being considered, yet they remain in self-denial in support of D.T.
Voters that continue to vote against their own best interest are very prevalent in S.D.
