When he worked for Governor Kristi Noem, attack dog Ian Fury defended his boss’s rejection of millions of dollars in federal aid for energy-efficiency grants, cybersecurity improvements, and food assistance by saying, “Federal money often comes with strings attached, and more of it is often not a good thing.”
It must gall poor Ian now to have to retire that line and direct communications from his new boss Governor Larry Rhoden celebrating the super-stringy federal dollars Rhoden is accepting for rural health care:
Ian’s fellow Hillsdale College alums must be rolling their eyes at Ian’s lack of political consistency and his willingness to flack for federal intrusion in state affairs.
Ian is just furious.
