Putin: No Ceasefire! Trump: Smart Vlad Says Mail-In Voting Bad!

Two dictators met in Alaska yesterday. The spymaster ruling Russia refused to stop murdering Ukrainians. The senile golf cheat making America a Russian vassal state turned to his favorite camera and started babbling the election conspiracy lies his KGB master feeds him:

“Vladimir Putin, smart guy, said you can’t have an honest election with mail-in voting,” Trump told Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” after a nearly three-hour meeting between the leaders in Alaska. “He said there’s not a country in the world that uses it now” [staff, “Trump Says Putin Agrees with Him US Should Not Have Mail-In Voting,” Reuters, 2025.08.15].

If we could take either man at his word, we would have to logically conclude that Trump encouraged dishonest elections when he encouraged his supporters to vote by mail last year and when he himself voted by mail on multiple occasions.

We don’t know whether Putin digressed from Ukraine to trash-talk American elections (which are conducted with far more integrity than Russia’s) at yesterday’s failed summit or whether Trump is merely misremembering the agitprop Putin fed him last year:

“In the United States, previous elections were falsified through postal voting … they bought ballots for $10, filled them out, and threw them into mailboxes without any supervision from observers, and that’s it,” Putin said, without providing evidence [staff, “Putin Says Past U.S. Elections Were Rigged,” Reuters, 2024.01.16].

And the second half of Trump’s quote is a flat lie. While most countries do not use mail-in voting, 12 countries allow all voters to mail in their ballots, and 22 more grant the privilege to some voters.

It’s ridiculous that the American President would come away from a summit that failed to bring us any closer to an end to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and rehash election fraud lies peddled by the Russian leader. A responsible and courageous American leader would have immediately—on stage, at the bogus press conference, to Putin’s face—called out the Russian war criminal‘s bullshit justifications for an unjustifiable war. Instead, the tired old man that we elected king immediately praises Putin and repeats his lies.

Trump thus continues to humiliate and degrade our once great nation.

Write to you Senators and Congressmen, and tell them what you think of your Chief Executive bowing to the leader of the man who wants to make the United States a province of the new Russian Empire. It is one thing to be a conservative, it is quite another to be a despotic MAGA Conservative in the style of the former Soviet Union with a dash of 1930’s Germany just for style. Trump has to go. The elections next year MUST be supervised by all concerned parties, and the march of the oligarchs must be stopped. I plan to vote thee incumbents out in my state, even the good ones, and hope for a better start. That may need to be done again in 2028. Entrenched power is not the same as experience. If we don’t do something now, the alternative is very, very bad.

    Al,
Every time I have written to a SD member of congress, all I have ever gotten was, “Thank you for writing,” and then, “As you know…,” followed by all the GOP talking points of the day. Remember, John Thune was one of the first to step up and endorse Trump, felony convictions, sexual adjudications, bankruptcies, etc, be damned, and has backed every single nomination for federal posts, many that were and still are highly questionable. I quit wasting my time.

Epstein was surely discussed between the two of them as Vlad probably has the goods on the convicted fellow he was talking to. I think what will be etched in my mind was the bowing down of 4 uniformed American troops bowing to a dictator while presenting a red carpet. Kinda says it all.
