Many People Googling South Dakota Governor Not Interested in Policy

In another example of how the Internet brings out the worst in people, here’s a glimpse at terms people were searching on the Web over the past week that somehow led them to Dakota Free Press:

Search Terms leading to DFP April 12-19 2020
Search Terms leading to DFP, April 12–19, 2020.

I don’t know who’s more gross: the folks punching in those search terms or the search engine optimization consultants who will look at that list and tell their clients to work those terms into their content.

    No “Kristi Noem genius?”

  2. Cory Allen Heidelberger Post author | 2020-04-19 10:09

Nope. Alas, 96Tears, far too few people seek intelligence on the Internet.

kristi noem feet? I don’t suppose that is a query about how many feet Governor Noem recommends people keep between themselves. I notice there is no search term for kristi noem IQ, either. It’s very interesting what people think is important: sex. Well, it is, but my main concern is that a leader not screw me, and kill me while she’s doing it.

There is all kinds of intelligence displayed by various and sundry commenters and the owner of this blog.

The wingnut party and individual wingnuts are not the place to look for or expect to find intelligence.

You libtards are all about negativity. At least some people are trying to expand their knowledge. Me? I give credit where credit is due based on sufficiency of assets.

  6. David Newquist 2020-04-19 11:26

A quotation from Tom Lawrence in the Standard: “She had become a force in state politics, despite a thin resume of accomplishments. Name one thing she did in Congress. Go ahead, we’ll wait.” The same can be said of John Thune. What terms would produce search information on those traits?

Whatever one might come up with, it says so much about the people who voted those two into office and supports them.

I can’t help but wonder how many of these folks also use the search terms: “Donald Trump naked,” or “Mitch McConnell nude pics” in order, as Bob puts it, to “expand their knowledge” rather than enjoy the peace of mind provided by “libtard” negativity about these particular topics. I don’t know if I qualify as a “libtard,” whatever that might be, but my reaction to most of the terms Cory listed was “ew.”

BCB —. Just the thought of what images might arise from the terms you mentioned are frightening …… not to mention as nauseating as the subjects themselves.

  9. Bob Newland 2020-04-19 11:54

bcb, I think you’ve adequately established your credentials.

  10. Curt 2020-04-19 13:35

If Cory and Newquist are “libtards”, I hope I will qualify – someday.

  11. Bob Newland 2020-04-19 16:05

    You’re in, Curt.

  12. Debbo 2020-04-19 17:19

That is rather sleazy hunting, imo.

  13. Bob Newland 2020-04-19 17:43

Why else would anyone want to search out Noem, Deb?

  14. Moses6 2020-04-19 17:46

The four amigos well half dusty can give their rah rah speeches. But remember trump said any one who needs a test can get a test.Well congress and half dusty get it done. You guys have failed at this as much as trump. The ppe the equipment we need to fight this disease .And this what we have to represent the state.

You have a good point, Bob.

Those searching of the googles results are quite shocking. I, for one, am stunned that there are zero searches for Mr. H’s bloggings that included “grudznick” or “Newland.” Or “Newland naked.” Or “Newland skirt.”

  18. mike from iowa 2020-04-19 18:35

But Murphy knows, as I know, that made-up-stuff lingers longer online. And today’s comments, which read the pseudonymous Grudznick’s latest of many comments about the physical appearance of women in the news as harassment and then imputed that harassment to the distinct and autonymous Jeremiah Murphy, who appears to have more sense than to comment publicly on the comeliness or lack thereof of the legislators whom he is paid to influence.

Kristi Noem was described by Daily Kos as another republican damn fool. You can read the article for yourself on their website. Neither pro or con is my stance I live in another state. I lived in SD and went to Northern and changed location.

Maybe it’s her husband googling her they haven’t been seen together much
It doesn’t say if this is different IP addresses or if same address googled same search etc.

  21. jerry 2020-04-19 22:34

I googled “horses patoot” and up came GNOem.

  22. Debbo 2020-04-19 22:40

    🤣🤣🤣

  23. mike from iowa 2020-04-20 07:58

This whole googling nonsense is likely an attempt by sfwn to deflect all the criticism away from Noem’s drumpfian like efforts to mishandle the pandemic. Until I got a really serious look at wingnuts, I was convinced stoopidity could not operate in the public eye. Lawdy wuz I wrong!
