Back in 2020, Governor Kristi Noem told the Republican National Convention that across America, cities governed by Democrats “are being overrun by violent mobs. The violence is rampant. There’s looting, chaos, destruction, and murder.” Noem has happily traded on her assertion that Republican enclaves are somehow safer than Democratically led urban hellholes.
But a new Washington Post column points to an analysis of murder rates that finds that in 2019 and 2020, murder rates were 40% higher in the more Republican-leaning half of America:
The 8.20 murders per 100,000 residents rate in Trump states was 40% higher than the 5.78 murders per 100,000 residents in Biden states. These Biden-voting states include the “crime-is-out-of-control” cities of Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Portland, Baltimore, and Minneapolis, among other large cities [Kylie Murdock and Jim Kessler, “The Red State Murder Problem,” Third Way, 2022.03.15].
According to Third Way, South Dakota’s murder rate of 5.53 per 100,000 residents is lower than the average murder rate of 5.78 per 100K in all of the Biden states put together, so yay, us, there. But South Dakota’s murder rate is higher than that in any neighboring state. The murder rate 2.69 per 100K in Minnesota, the only state in our region that voted for Biden in 2020, is less than half of South Dakota’s and is the lowest among South Dakota’s neighbors.
These murder figures cast further doubt on the assertion that South Dakota is some idyllic refuge from crime and mortal danger.
Murder rate in Lennox SD (pop. 2200) over the past 20 years has been 70X that of the oft-cited terror that is in the minds of “conservatives” known as “Chicago”. Just sayin’.

The Rapid City gun range is going to be built no matter the opposition. In fact the SDGFP plans on allowing anyone to enter for FREE and without showing an ID! Sounds like a recipe for mayhem considering the West River open carry, stand you ground, concealed carry, and absolute 2nd amendment horsepucky prevalent here.

Rapid City had 13 reported homicides in 2021. 12 in 2020. It is extremely rare for rapes to be heard about. But they are far from being rare.
According to statista.com in 2020, Rapid City had second highest rape rate in the country at 146.6 rapes reported per every 100,000 residents. Anchorage had the only rape rate that was higher than RC.

Vagos, Pagans, HA, Bandidos: most, if not all, meth in South Dakota is trafficked by white Trump-worshiping motorcycle clubs. These hordes are essentially domestic terrorists operating in the Black Hills with the blessings of the prison/industrial complex. Former Cornerstone director, Dan Island, build a Lawrence County mansion and together with his brother Frank built a cocaine and meth empire before their deaths. The Bandidos have had a fortified compound in Rapid Valley and the Hells Angels who own many properties in the area also built the the Cottonwood Lodge in Spearditch.
The “Big Four” biker clubs in the United States are Hells Angels, the Pagans, the Bandidos and The Outlaws or the American Outlaw Association. Hells Angels, Bandidos and other crime syndicates own property in the Black Hills area to serve as bases of operation for sex and meth trafficking much of it through what appear to be legitimate businesses. Gangs of armed men with mental illnesses and addictions to meth power their way into western South Dakota every year and an accepted outlaw biker culture routinely traffics illicit behaviors that would otherwise be subject to legal interdiction.

Racist practices are used in the releasing of information by law enforcement public relations. When a caucasian is involved, no name or other off-color details are released, if any at all. When a Native is involved, no shets given to respect family yet to be notified.
On one occasion, the RCPD was investigating a crime and blasted a young Native woman’s mug shot on social media saying the girl is thought to have information and is wanted for questioning. The girl was taken out of the state and found murdered that same week.
No regard for these young ladies’ safety and well being. Shortly after that botched ‘wanted for questioning’ poster asking the public’s help to find a small, young, exploited girl, was the same hazardous police poster with another 20 year old female all over the cops’ facebook. And from her photos the police used to find her displaying her numerous tattoos trademarking ownership of her body, she was clearly being trafficked by a sick outlaw gang, corroborating what Mr. Kurtz has said. By splatting a young woman’s face and tagged-up figure on their social media sights, law enforcement knows they are directly endangering the life of the presumedly innocent girl. And they do not care. Ms. Schmockel is now in Pennington County awaiting trial on murder charges. The poor thing weighs no more than 100 lbs and more than likely was in dire straights. Self defense rights are unlikely to be taken into account in her trial. She never had the chance to grow up. Hell, I’ll even make the assumption she was robbed of a childhood too. I shake my head thinking what a shame, we let this poor girl down and she is still being downtrodden by ruthless men.
Please, for the love of God, let a girl live out here, dang.
