97% of the Central Intelligence Agency’s personnel have gotten their coronavirus shots. But large percentages of intel workers in other agencies appear not to be that smart:
Overall, the percentage of intelligence personnel who have been vaccinated is higher than for the American public — 97% at the CIA, for instance. But there are lower percentages in some of the 18-agency intelligence community of approximately 100,000 people, according to Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah.
Citing information that he said had been provided to the House Intelligence Committee but not released publicly, Stewart said several intelligence agencies had at least 20% of their workforce unvaccinated as of late October. In some agencies, as many as 40% are unvaccinated, Stewart said. He declined to identify the agencies because full information on vaccination rates was classified [Nomaan Merchant, “Vaccine Refusals in Intelligence Agencies Raise GOP Concerns,” AP, 2021.11.05].
Republican Rep. Stewart frets that enforcing the federal vaccine mandate could leave us without enough spies:
Stewart called on the administration to approve more exemptions for people on medical, religious and other grounds, and delay any terminations of intelligence officers.
“My question is what’s the impact on national security if we do that?” Stewart said. “You’re potentially firing thousands of people on the same day. And it’s not like you put an ad on Craigslist and have people apply by Thursday” [Merchant, 2021.11.05].
But Democratic Congressman Jason Crow of Colorado recognizes that getting one’s shots is a sign of intelligence and fitness for work therein:
“If somebody is not willing to do what’s necessary to protect their own health and the health of their unit, that actually calls into question their ability to effectively do the job,” Crow said in an interview [Merchant, 2021.11.05].
We can’t send you out to gather intelligence if you’re laid up with coronavirus or if you’re making our sources and your fellow operatives sick. Spies, get your shots!

She giggles at the stupid humans killing themselves by taking a horse deworming product. Even horses are smarter than that.
Well..I’m surprised that three percent of CIA personnel are not vaccinated…I’m sure if you’re actually a spie you must be vaccinated against all kinds of exotic germs…Our spies and spooks are well disciplined and certainly follow orders..it’s their job.
As a military brat I had more shots at two and a half than most Americans will have in their lifetimes. Anyone who enlists in civil service or is commissioned into one of the branches signs an oath that compels whatever vaccinations We the People proscribe is etched in law.
Get over it.
