Biden Goes Bicycling, Teases Reporter About VP Pick

The anti-Trump Lincoln project beats me to the punch on the best headline over the best video of the weekend: Bikers for Biden!

Biden also cracks wise on a Fox News reporter and does so with mirth, not the malice that the current occupant of the White House directs at journalists. Ride on, Joe!

Related Tweeting: But seriously, Biden is ready to save America:

He’s also recognizes that John Lewis was a moral giant, while to Donald Trump, Lewis is just another bum who skipped his coronation:

And if you’re of the ilk that consider bicycling insufficiently manly, well, (a) hop on your own two wheels and see if you can keep up with Joe, and (b), check out Joe behind the wheel of his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (Joe is the original owner):

It is so nice to hear real leadership that is hopeful, encouraging and has a workable plan.

…and quick wit! Donald Trump can’t come with a tease that fast, only insults, and even then, not terribly original insults, just rehashed name-calling and bullying.

…and joy! Watch the Corvette videos, see Joe smile when he drives his car. Have you ever seen Donald Trump express anything close to that honest, pure joy at any activity? Does Donald ever really enjoy himself?

Mr. Biden is a suave fellow and wears a nice suit. I like how he is suave and how his suits look like good ones that were tailored right. As long as he doesn’t botch it with his VP pick, he will no doubt be the next Mr. President.

Here’s CYA Republicans trying to hide. 5 tweets and 2 retweets of Mentor Mitch IN A ROW! These two are the leaders of the GOP/Republicans.

Let’s be clear, Dems’ $3 trillion+ #COVID bill will never pass the Senate. It’s not targeted. It’s not fiscally responsible. Republicans have been trying to negotiate in good faith, but Dems refuse to work w/ us to find common ground, & they continue to push their messaging bill.

[Senator John Thune July 31] Democrats voting against extending benefits for unemployed Americans just to spite Republicans might be a new low. And remember, these funds were passed *unanimously* in March.

Republicans tried several ways to extend unemployment benefits. Democrats blocked them all. They’re refusing any more COVID relief for anyone unless they get a massive tax cut for rich people in blue states.

The country can’t afford this cynicism. Americans need help now.

[MASSIVE TAX CUT FOR RICH PEOPLE IN BLUE STATES????!!]

[@SenJohnThune] In March, Republicans & Democrats unanimously supported an additional layer of UI benefits that are set to expire tomorrow. Today, Republicans tried, in good faith, to provide additional funds to unemployed Americans before they expire and zero out. Democrats objected.

There’s only one way we’re going to make progress on the next round of COVID relief: Democrats must come to the table in a serious way.
    @SenateGOP
wants to help, but piling an additional $3 TRILLION onto the national debt, as Dems have suggested, is a totally unserious proposal.”

Remember, the republican definition of compromise is “do what we want.”

Bucko is right. I can still hear the Bush quote of, “You are either with us or against us.” Even Saint Ronald compromised at times. Now days, if Dems don’t go along, they are anti-American, hate God, unpatriotic, hate the poor… When these gents make such hypocritical comments, I want to grab them by the neck tie and slap them silly. Guess that comes from my old SD upbringing because that is what happened to me when I was (ahem) less than truthful. It wasn’t tolerated at my house, but evidently was OK in the Thune house. I got a reply from Thune’s office to an email I had sent. They reminded me we should be “respectful.” I replied to say I would show respect as soon as he showed respect for the office he holds. I’ve had quite the fill of these gents.
