Hey, McGovern Day isn’t just your chance to discuss big issues with other Democrats and hear from Joe Sanberg and J.D. Scholten. It’s also a chance to drop by the Sioux Falls Best Western Ramkota this Saturday and sign the People Power Petitions!

I’m hitting the road for Sioux Falls and bringing a tub of petitions, circulator forms, and pens to McGovern Day tomorrow. I’ll be at convention hall from 9 a.m. until dinnertime around 7 p.m. (or until everybody there who wants to sign has signed!).
The fundraiser is a Democratic event, but you don’t have to be a Democrat to come sign the initiative and referendum petitions to repeal all the bureaucracy and paperwork our Legislature is using to kill our rights to put laws to a vote. I won’t even charge you money to sign the petitions (although contributions to SD Voice to support the petition drive will help a lot!).
I’ll also have extra petitions and forms on hand to share with folks who’d like to collect a few signatures from their friends and family. If you’re interested in circulating, come see me!
See you in Sioux Falls on Saturday!
I hope you get stacks and stacks of signed petitions. I hope you need to make copies and another tub. Good luck!!!
Thanks, Debbo! I may not need another tub—for every petition that signers fill, I get rid of 4-5 sheets of circulator forms (the excessive and redundant paperwork that the People Power Initiative would repeal!).
