Real petition reform is getting a hearing, and democracy needs you to testify!
Senator Reynold Nesiba’s Senate Bill 157, a copy of my planned ballot initiative to repeal burdensome restrictions on the petition process, comes before Senate State Affairs on Monday, February 11, at 10 a.m. in Capitol Room 414 in Pierre.
I plan to testify by telephone. If you can be in the committee room to testify in person, be there! If you’d like to join me on the phone, let me know, and I’ll see what we can arrange.
Whether you are available on Monday or not, you can also make your voice heard by calling or e-mailing the members of Senate State Affairs directly.
Review my explanation of the bill here. Then, Monday, 10 a.m., Capitol Room 414—speak up for SB 157 and the voice of the people!
Good luck South Dakotans!
(Cory, I think you missed a hyperlink.)
Yup, I did! Thanks, Debbo—fixed!
I wish you luck. They are anti people’s voices. They’ve diluted all items the people voted in.
