Friend and Dakota Free Press contributor Toby Uecker drove all the way to Aberdeen for chuck roast and campaign podcasting. We sat down for a conversation about why I’d make a great Senator for District 3.
Included in the conversation:
- From the top: how my background as a debate coach and blogger informs how I’ll listen, study, and work as a legislator.
- 6:45: why education matters to me and to South Dakota.
- 10:40: the great good Northern State does for Aberdeen and all of South Dakota.
- 13:30: 30 good policies for South Dakota in 60 seconds!
- 15:50: why fiscal policy needs to be based on serious conversations, not simple slogans.
- 19:40: how I connect with voters of different political persuasions.
- 26:50: how voters make democracy work by holding elected officials accountable and voting legislators out when they don’t do their jobs right.
Share this podcast with your District 3 friends and tell them to vote for Cory on November 6!
Truthful and honest podcast. Thanks, Mr. Heidelberger.
Cory is not Novstrup. Enough said to get Cory elected.
Thank you, gentlemen! As a bonus, here’s my 30-second ad:

✔ good one
Who is this Mr. Uecker fellow? He seems pretty swell and I like they way he steers your conversation with his insightful and ad lib questions.
I found some of it to be too frenetic and fast paced, with a lot of hectic jabber-jabber, but I, for one, appreciate Mr. H making these tapes of his ideas. The interviewer/journalist fellow did a pretty good job, so I’d give him high marks. Are there other of these pods out that one can listen to on the computers? I looked but could not find a listing of blue links to other of Mr. Uecker’s pods.
Grudzie … Cory talks fast because he doesn’t waste time and he doesn’t waste money. If you practice you could increase your hearing speed to that of a normal American’s pace. Talking slow is wasteful and tedious.
Good ad. Simple, direct, clear.
Mr. Uecker is an exceptionally sharp gentleman, fellow Bulldog Debate alumnus, and SDSU grad. His dad is a retired Lutheran pastor; Toby’s dad and mom just retired to Custer. You should go visit them, Grudz.
Thanks, Debbo!
