District 3 Democrats will be increasing the barbecue quotient in Aberdeen Saturday. District 3 House candidates Justin Roemmick and Brooks Briscoe will join me, District 3’s Senate candidate, for a barbecue meet and greet Saturday, July 28, at 5:30 p.m.
If we were big money lobbyists, we’d have this event in the Capitol Rotunda. But since we’re regular men of the people, we’re having our barbecue at our friend Garrid’s hourse at 1618 15th Avenue Southeast, just a half block east from South Lawson. We aren’t charging any admission, but we welcome any contributions. You will want to bring your own lawn chair, if you’d rather not sit on the ground.
Eat some supper, grill the candidates!
And don’t forget—coming up next week Tuesday, July 31, is my public forum on public education, 7 p.m. at the K.O. Lee Public Library here in Aberdeen.
I hope you have a great turnout. Go get ’em Dems!
Good luck, Saturday, but, I am afraid without iowa spuds and onions on the barbie you got nothing.
Sounds like Dems nationally are firming up platform for successful blue election. 70 mbrs are caucusing on medicare for all. Maybe debt free higher ed for all.
