Chief Sideras must have a fire Friday—Sioux Falls Democratic Forum organizer Tom Cool tells me that the Sioux Falls fire chief will speak at a future forum, not at this Friday’s forum as originally scheduled.
Thus, the Sioux Falls Democratic Forum, which sponsors this blog, has invited me to come say a few words at their lunchtime meeting this Friday. I’m happy to oblige—I’m planning to say a few words about Governor Dennis Daugaard’s teacher pay-raise plan (coming up this afternoon in his State of the State speech!) and other major South Dakota issues that will figure prominently in the 2016 election.
I’ll wave my arms a lot, but I won’t talk the whole time. I’ll leave plenty of time for questions, so come ask! Sioux Falls VFW, South Minnesota, just before you get to I-229. Program starts at noon Friday; come early, buy some lunch, and enjoy some good conversation!
Top political blogger? What’s PP doing there? … Just kidding.
I will see you there then.
Listening to this State of the State and seeing that were taking credit in medicaid……by taking part in a gasp federal program. Unfortunately though, I see he has tied himself to a condition that as long as the federal government pays for it, he’s fine with it. Way to save money Denny….and pocket it.
PP’s observing how a real political blog is run,not that he is capable of learning anything from it.
Always good when you come.
Might make it there hope that guy quits asking about dues.
Madman, Roger, Moses! I look forward to seeing you!
Ror, I’d consider a joint appearance with Powers on a stage for brief speeches and an open public forum.
We dont have a monthly forum west river-well sorta but the meal Outprices Many Too Like Dues. But We Have Dems East AND west river– AND Cory In The Middle!
He cant debate you.Playoffs , Powers playoffs. Im hoping to see you might have to work.
Pat Powers is the figurehead for everything that is wrong with politics. You can add me to the list of those being moderated. While everyone was being critical of Shantel, I pointed out how it was such a change from an inept and incompetent display of governance by the previous tenants. Funny, he chimes in and says this is not about the people, while removing my comments and leaving the ones critical of her. Incompetent pig is about the nicest way I can describe that lemming.
Daniel! Welcome to the club. I would think that, given your information systems knowledge, your commentary would add some authority to the discussion of Secretary Krebs’s changes and the comparative merits her the system she has adopted and the Gant system she replaced.
