Noem’s Kin Rake in over $600K in Coronavirus Relief Funds

Who got covid checks? Kristi’s kin got covid checks!

According to Open.SD.Gov, Racota Valley Ranch Partnership, the corporation that holds much of the Noem/Arnold family’s farm wealth, the mutated corporate entity of which Kristi Noem herself was a part before supposedly cashing herself out in 2017, received yet another hefty subsidy from us taxpayers courtesy of Governor Kristi Noem’s privately managed Coronavirus Relief Fund Small Business Grant program:

On top of that cool half-million, another Noem/Arnold family operation, Arnold Bros. Water Management, once operated by Kristi’s brother Rock Arnold, received another $101,469.18.

Kristi’s family tradition continues, rolling in government money while Kristi cries crocodile tears about socialism.

    Not too bad!

What a line up of republican contributors. A mutual back scratch for all.

I heard through the grapevine there was is an audit happening regarding this very thing. From the heresy that I heard, there was a grant program that was open for farmers to apply for, but the window to apply was only a short 7 days and that some farmers applied for lots of funds filling out multiple applications using their kids’ names, and that Kristi’s family also received funds. This post backs some of this up.

Hmm, seems we elected a Communist as Governor. I wonder what Georgia voters think of that?

Know M nada’s modus operand i, is personal responsibility and self sufficiency unless corporate welfare is available.

  6. Arlo Blundt 2021-03-02 23:11

well…the ranch was hit hard by Covid. They weren’t wearing masks.

  7. Arlo Blundt 2021-03-02 23:29

well….can’t seem to find any reference for Arrive on my Google. What is it? Where is it? They are now worth at least 36 grand.

What would Ronald Reagan say about this “Welfare Noem”?

    Corruption is as corruption does.

    These were grants?

Republican Welfare for Republicans. Suppress the vote for others, hands on cash for family.

Absolutely vote her and the whole Party out, forever!

  9. Jenny 2021-03-03 07:54

Remember when Pat Powers made a thing about Billie Sutton getting $17000 in Covid grant money?

Republicans only, and I mean only, love welfare when it goes to their own selfish interests. How dare a poor single mom with children get welfare.

Well, if the money is available, and one applies for it and receives in legally, why are you complaining? What you should be concerned about is that it is not the government’s money…it is YOURS. You pay taxes and the government is spending money…in reality that is yours. They are giving away YOUR money and your KID’s money and your Grandkid’s money. And now they want to give away your great-grandkid’s money. Most of the current relief bill is laden with pork and has nothing to do with corona relief. It is to bail out states that, unlike South Dakota, can’t seem to balance their budget.

Kristi’s comment on Fox Nation Outdoors as published on Fox News today:

“We had to figure out another way to make money off of our land to pay off the death taxes so I spent years guiding hunters, helping them enjoy South Dakota,” she recalled.

So… how much death taxes has she paid? And has she been able to get that back from the taxpayers?

Even Buffalo Chip Campground got 500,000 dollars. Then these same people complain about food stamps. What a pitiful bunch of a**holes live in this state.

According to Open.SD.Gov, Racota Valley Ranch Partnership, the corporation that holds much of the Noem/Arnold family’s farm wealth, the mutated corporate entity of which Kristi Noem herself was a part before supposedly cashing herself out in 2017,

According to Political Smokeout back in 2012, Noem’s assistant claimed Noem cashed out in 2008.

    https://politicalsmokeout.tumblr.com/post/26348528633/whats-new-with-noem-and-farm-subsidies

But Noem’s spokesperson said the congresswoman actually sold her interest in Racota Valley in 2008. That would mean she personally hasn’t received any farm payments, other than the two personal $1,370 payments, since she took office. That would also take about $37,000 off Noem’s EWG estimate (removing the figures for 2009, 2010 and 2011)

Did she lie then and not now? Did she tell the truth then and lie now Did she just lie like drumpf because she knows it will only make her more electable to lie and get away with from Libs?

Lord gawd what a freaking tanfgled web magats weave when all they do is deceive and deceive.

In case your not interested in reading USA Today saga, it says that the fed passed a law in which in Noem’s case, the spouses were married and the estate would pass to Mrs Noem tax free. It also says the IRS did not send tax notices out to families. Noem claimed the tax billl was 55%. The IRS also made loans when necessary at much lower interest rates than other lenders.

Methinks Noem was practicing her drumpf/magat lies before she ever gazed on his fat orange ass fondly.

  15. Mark Anderson 2021-03-03 15:42

Fast Eddie, Thomas Jefferson was most proud of the estate tax he started at the state level. You can read about it in his letters to Adam’s. He thought it was the only way to prevent an aristocracy in America. If kristi knew about that she would want him blown off the mountain. Luckily for everyone, she’s pretty ignorant.

Stephen Groves at the AP follows up, noting that the Racota outfit got its half millon on February 19, while the Arnold boys’ water business got its money on January 6 and January 20.

What exactly is this Arnold Bros. Water company? I found the tax filing, but it’s not incorporated as a water provider with DENR.

We had a path to apply for one of these grants, but it would have been difficult to justify. We had a startup at the end of 2019 that had made its first sale heading into our sales season in 2020 which was destroyed.

So, do they pay out based on our projections?

It was shaky, and we didn’t feel good about it, so we didn’t apply.

You’re over there like Noem tried to spend money on a plane for state officials perhaps to accommodate travel requests from DC (prestigious for our state) and from party leadership in FL (important to attend, influence, report, and build for SD). SD’s stock has risen sharply because of Governor Noem’s travel. A plane may be extravagant, may be justified, maybe not. Then you’re over there like and some unknown number of people are splitting up $600k to survive (and maybe thrive) during the pandemic and they happen to be related to the Governor. Okay, do you think their applications weren’t scrutinized? Did you scrutinize them? Would you like to and give us a report? I’m fine with that.

Then, I’m over here like https://www.politico.com/news/2021/03/03/elaine-chao-dot-inspector-general-report-473536

  20. John Dale 2021-03-04 04:14

For what it’s worth, at least Noem’s family lives here. Please help us put this woman’s turtle out to pasture, but for the love of GOD let’s make Rand Paul Senate Majority leader ASAP. I’m looking forward to someone who follows American moral guidelines, understands technology, and supports an America-first agenda to step-up and run for Senate in SD. I don’t care which party.

Let’s go off topic for a moment, but in a good direction ..

I’m living kind of an Internet fairy tale at the moment .. I’m seeing about 1000 new IP addresses a week to the site. It’s neat to see it .. we all work hard. Intellectual work is very difficult work.

Without respect for free speech and respectful debate and expression from the other new media in SD, that growth would not be possible. Our ideas get a lot of scrutiny and feedback, and I get better and stronger in my thinking over time. My thanks to everyone who has engaged respectfully and in good faith. I hope you get value, too. There will be many books to be written by South Dakotans about this time. If for nothing else, that’s what Winter is good for .. with that, back to the may lay:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/03/us/politics/elaine-chao-inspector-general-report.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

Just so everyone knows, Pat and Cory have open invitations to come on the program anytime .. if that happens, though, I think we’ll probably get some *ahem* attention from other SD media players. As long as we’re separate, we’re more controllable; a separation of .. powers .. *da da ching*. It’s probably a good thing.

But maybe most important, as far as I can tell, folks are learning, engaged, and entertained.

    Have a super day.

does mr grudz approve this message?

John, I somehow think you could have made a better case for a grant than Noem’s rich farmer brothers could. They’ve already suckled at the teat of big government to the tune of over $4 million in farm subsidies. Neither you nor I have ever received six-figure checks from the government to sustain our standard of living.

  22. mike from iowa 2021-03-04 11:58

According to AP report, the grants were originally capped at 2100k but noem jiggled the cap to 500k. AP said there is no evidence she helped in deciding who to give one of five half a mil grants, but it seems patently obvious why the Arnold family got one..

More than one thing stinks to high magat heaven in South Socialota.

  23. mike from iowa 2021-03-04 11:59

grants were capped at 100k. Poor spelling/proofreading on my part.

600K for the average Joe or Jane.

    Monarchists do as monarchists do.

    Time for BIG thinking.

Throwing Federal money at businesses instead of people?

Everyone knows we the consumers are 70% of the economy! We are the economy.

Not the businesses and churches that get thousands of virus dollars.

  25. grudznick 2021-03-05 22:45

Those damn churches that got millions of dollars really get grudznick’s goat. Overgodders be damned, and having free money handed to them instead of to the common fellow is insaner than all get out. Damn churches that took all that covid money.

  26. SD is 20 per cent nonwhite 2021-03-05 22:49

Churches should have left money in the till. So we can get our vaccines quicker.

    Agree with the grudge.

Governor says individual responsibility? And gives LOTS of money to Catholic and Lutheran churches?
    Isn’t that socialism, Noem?
