Allender: Rapid City Has “Ton of Potential,” Needs Vision Beyond Basic Services

I’ve written up my interview with Rapid City candidate for mayor Steve Allender. Now let’s yield the floor so he can offer his own words on his vision for Rapid City:

City election is June 2!

I don’t want to hear what he thinks a vision is, I want to hear what his is, if he has one.

    Bill,
Allender’s inability to describe a vision for Rapid City is like someone having a really big idea wherein the really big idea is the really big idea.

  3. his cynical twitter page turns me off. I have known him since he was a young rcpd officer

Yes Roger, like this: ‘Friends, my plan for Rapid City is that we should get together and come up with a plan… And that plan will be to have a vision. And I mean a vision, not just fixing potholes and storm drains! But a vision… A vision to have a plan!’

    Bill,
The fear in the Indian community is that Allender’s vision will be the continued militarization of the Rapid City Police Department.

Those damn APC’s, or whatever their called, makes Rapid City look like Iraq or Afghanistan.
