Back in January I told you that I want to write something else. I’ve been writing something else, many somethings… at least when I haven’t been out riding my bike and taking pictures.
Right now I’m writing from a nicely converted trailer home by a dry creek bed in the autumnally bursting Black Hills. I’m here for just a few days—like writing, riding, and photographing, I don’t get to do enough Black Hillsing, and why is that, anyway? How can we stand at the apotheosis of civilization and still have not enough time for all that we want to do?—but I love this place, the trails, the canyons, the peaks, all closer to the great ball of fusion than the places I usually inhabit, and I want to make time to do one more thing to make the most of this precious and pleasurable time.
So, in addition to riding my bike and taking pictures (pix coming up soon!), I want to launch one of those somethings-else (like Attorneys General) out of my head, out of my hard drive, and into the wild where it may live and breathe and be read.
