I’ve already covered the “highlights” of Aberdeen’s last 2019 Legislative crackerbarrel; if you’re interested, here’s the full playlist of opening remarks, questions of substance, and closers from the Saturday, March 2, event.
Every bill must pass out of committee today and pass its chamber of origin tomorrow. Legislators then get a three-day weekend to visit with constituents about what to do with the lingering conference committee bills, as well as any more rule-breaking surprise bills that Governor Noem may throw at us in her Trumpist fit of fakery and evidenceless invocation of anti-Semitic paranoia, in the last three days of regular Legislative business next week Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
No crackerbarrel is planned in Aberdeen, but there’s still plenty at stake. Call your legislators and keep them in line during the final days of Session.
