Heidelberger Speaks at Wine Wednesdays Tonight at Brown County Dems Downtown HQ

As a demonstration of my ability to work across the oenophiles, I will speak this evening, 8 p.m., at Wine Wednesday at Brown County Democratic Headquarters at 220 South Main in beautiful downtown Aberdeen. My topic: “Touch Not the Grape! My Plan to Restore the 18th Amendment.”

Ha!

No, no, no. I will keep my teetotaling in policy check. I will, however, help kick off the first of our local party’s Wine Wednesdays. Each Wednesday, my Democratic friends will take all the volunteers they can get to call voters and urge them to do the right thing and vote Democratic this fall. Then we’ll take time out to hear from any candidates who care to stop in and talk about their positions on important issues. The event is open to the public, so consider this another opportunity (the second such event I’ve attended this week, compared to the one public event my opponent has co-hosted all month) to hear from your District 3 Senate candidate and ask him questions about how we can fix Pierre.

And remember, since I’m not drinking, that’s more wine for the rest of you. Drink and vote responsibly!

Brown County Democrats will be doing these throughout October? I hope you have a good turn out.

  2. Lots of candidates, lots of events, and a great space in which to hold those events!

Not a lot of people, but those who came had a lot to say. I did a lot more listening than talking.
