Betrayal: Trump Treats Informants and Farmers Just Like He Treated Ivana and Melania

Back when Congress tried to impeach Bill Clinton for lying about having an affair, I remember arguing in my then-Republican voice that adultery matters: after all, if a guy will violate the most solemn promise our culture recognizes, we can’t expect him to keep any other promises. If a man will betray his wife, he’ll betray anyone, right?

Trump voters, you knew about Donald Trump’s adultery. He’s betrayed wives Ivana and Melania.

This year he betrayed government informants to swing his deportation/concentration camp deal with El Salvador’s shady president:

HUDSON: The president of El Salvador on the call is asking Secretary Rubio to give his word that these nine MS-13 members would be sent to El Salvador. Rubio tells him, you will get these men, but there is an obstacle. Some of these MS-13 members were informants to the United States government in a ongoing Justice Department investigation into MS-13. Rubio then says that the president is going to get Attorney General Pam Bondi to nix the informant relationship that exists with those men and remove the protective status that they enjoyed and then send them to El Salvador.

…HUDSON: So a core part of an informant relationship is that the United States says, you know, if you give us some information, we’re not going to turn around and send you to the very government that you are giving us information about. That just doesn’t happen. That’s the reason why people who are in U.S. custody agree to cooperate with the United States – they get something in return. And so for…

KELLY: They are promised protection backed up by the U.S. government.

HUDSON: That’s right, and that’s why current and former Justice Department officials said that this was so concerning to them. You know, it imperils U.S. informants, people who were providing information to the Justice Department. And also, when the United States reneges on agreements that it makes to informants, it makes it more difficult for it to recruit informants in the future if its credibility is on the line [Mary Louise Kelly interviewing Washington Post reporter John Hudson, “Why the State Department Handed U.S. Informants Over to El Salvador,” NPR: All Things Considered, 2025.10.21].

And Trump’s betraying American beef farmers to give further aid and comfort to his comrade the beleaguered president of Argentina:

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins confirmed on CNBC today that the Trump administration intends to strike a deal with Argentina to bring beef into the U.S.

…Her comments came after President Donald Trump set off a firestorm on Capitol Hill this week, when he told an Associated Press reporter the U.S. might import beef from Argentina to bring down prices. A wide range of farm groups—including the National Farmers Union, Farm Action, the National Cattleman’s Beef Association, and the American Farm Bureau Federation—quickly sent out strongly worded statements opposing the idea.

Many of those groups were especially incensed by the timing of the comment. The White House last week announced a $40 billion bailout for Argentina at a time when the country is also benefiting from new soybean sales to China, prompted by Trump tariffs driving China’s purchases away from U.S. farms.

“After crashing the soybean market and gifting Argentina our largest export buyer, he’s now poised to do the same to the cattle market,” Christian Lovell, an Illinois cattle producer and Farm Action’s Senior Director of Programs, said in a statement. “Importing Argentinian beef would send U.S. cattle prices plummeting—and with the meatpacking industry as consolidated as it is, consumers may not see lower beef prices either. “Washington should be focused on fixing our broken cattle market, not rewarding foreign competitors.”

According to Politico, Republican senators also rushed to reach Trump, while some held a meeting with Rollins on the topic. “I strongly encourage the Trump administration to focus on trade deals that benefit our ag producers—not imports that will do more harm than good,” Senator Deb Fischer (R-Nebraska), a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, said in a statement [Lisa Held, “Agriculture Secretary Confirms US Plan to Buy Beef from Argentina,” Civil Eats, 2025.10.21].

South Dakota beef producers feel betrayed:

“A lot of cattle (producers) support President Trump and this feels like a gut punch,” said Craig Bieber, a rancher in McPherson County. Bieber is also the vice president of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association.

“It’s disappointing to me because we finally got cattle market where we are finally making money,” said Wade Christensen, a cattle producer from the Kimball area. Christensen and his wife Christy are part owners of the Kimball Livestock Exchange. He is also a member of the South Dakota Farmers Union [Rae Yost, “Producers: Argentina Cattle Idea Bad for U.S. Farmers,” KELO-TV, 2025.10.21].

Donald Trump demands of his followers the one thing he never gives anyone else: loyalty. No matter who you are—informer, farmer, Republican Senator, contractor, lover—if Donald Trump makes you a promise, he will eventually, when it serves his selfish desires, break that promise.

So when are Thune and Rounds going to speak out about the Argentina cattle deal. I hope a lot of cattle ranchers are going to be rethinking their vote. Oh ya I forget this is South Dakota where republicans can do no wrong, and our senators and representative are just sheep to afraid to speak up

  2. Ivana was fluent in Russian and Melania speaks to Vlad the Impaler in German. So, there is little doubt in my mind that damning evidence linking the Trump Organization to Russia was destroyed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 9/11 and it’s impossible the Obama administration didn’t know Donald Trump was installed through a vast white wing conspiracy with hostile foreign actors with the full knowledge of US Senators like John Thune.

A second ex-senior KGB spy chief said, Trump was recruited and worked as a Russian intelligence services asset for many years. And what they both said aligns with the Mueller report and the Senate Intelligence Committee report that Marco Rubio supervised.

Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump stole the 2024 election by lying to Latinos and Black men about migrants taking their jobs; and through stochastic terrorism they threatened violence against millions of people especially of color who otherwise would have showed up at polling places to vote. And with the confirmation of Kash Patel the Federal Bureau of Investigation is on the path to become the Stasi, the repressive secret police that crushed dissent in East Germany until 1990.

Today, Dutch intelligence restricts sharing information with the US because the Trump Organization gives it to their friends in the Kremlin.

Hungary’s Viktor Orbán steals elections, is a darling of the far white wing, has been a kleptocrat for decades and is likely the successor to the captagon trade.

Sheep bleat and run, but lay down and die as soon as they feel teeth.

  5. Oh the lowly politicians who represent the farmers. Hat in hand letters to his highness. Praising him to the sky’s and begging him to reconsider to favor the American farmer.
Hey farmers, you voted for him. He’s not running again. Too bad. He’ll throw you some money to cover the loss of your markets. Now instead of being head held high farmers and ranchers like you were under Biden you will be Trump’s welfare farmers again.
