Trump Cool with Hamas’s Use of Violence to Retain Control of Gaza

How does Hamas get on Donald Trump’s good side? By acting like Trump and launching a violent crackdown to consolidate their power:

The Palestinian Authority on Tuesday night condemned recent Hamas summary executions of Palestinians in Gaza as “heinous crimes” and urged a return of “legitimate” Palestinian leadership to stem the chaos roiling the Strip amid the ceasefire with Israel.

While the PA strongly denounced the executions, US President Donald Trump appeared to downplay the terror group’s crackdown, saying the killings “didn’t bother me much.” On Sunday, returning to the US from Israel and Egypt, he told reporters he had approved Hamas playing a temporary policing role in Gaza.

Hamas on Monday night published a video showing its armed personnel publicly executing eight blindfolded, bound and kneeling men in the street, with the group saying that its forces were “carrying out the death sentence against a number of collaborators and outlaws in Gaza City” [Nurit Yohanan, “PA Condemns Hamas Executions as ‘Heinous Crimes’; Trump Shrugs Off Crackdown,” The Times of Israel, 2025.10.15].

Trump said Hamas was supposed to disarm, but with Israel no longer shooting at them, the radical extremists who run Gaza are turning their weapons on their own people to ensure they remain in power. The rest of the world and even one of Trump’s military commanders condemn these murders, but Trump is making excuses for the extremists’ murderous rampage:

…Trump said he was relatively unbothered by the executions, comparing the victims to Venezuelan gangs that, he says, have been sent into the United States. He also said he had given the terror group a temporary green light to police the Strip before a post-war government is formed to replace it.

“That didn’t bother me much, to be honest with you,” he told reporters on Tuesday regarding the executions. “That’s OK. It’s a couple of very bad gangs. It’s no different than other countries like Venezuela [that have] sent their gangs into [the US].”

Referring to Hamas, he said, “They do want to stop the problems, and they’ve been open about it, and we gave them approval for a period of time” [Jacob Magid, “Senior US Military Official Tells Hamas to Halt Executions After Trump Downplays Them,” The Times of Israel, 2025.10.15].

Trump has approved Hamas’s violent effort to remain in control of Gaza, which it will continue to use as a staging round for its campaign to eradicate Israel. Unlike America’s last good President, Trump appears to be less interested in real peace and more interested in supporting more affirmations of his own style of brutal extremism, which will only lead to more death and destruction.

In 2018 KSA Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the murder of Jamal Khashoggi who was investigating the Trump Organization and Jared Kushner’s blood money infusions so a cynical observer might wonder how long Trump and Tulsi Gabbard have been laundering proceeds for Syria’s $10 billion captagon industry.

Ah, nothing like playing Judge, Jury, and Executioner.

I thought the US was created to stop this type of control? Whoever voted for this administration should be ashamed of themselves. Seriously, liberal, conservative, or whatever, this goes against foundational US principles.
