Dakota Free Press on KSOO Viewpoint University at 4:15 p.m. Today!

I’m as surprised as you are: it turns out I’ll be a guest this afternoon—an hour from now!—on 1140 KSOO’s Viewpoint University. Chancellor Rick Knobe plans to pick my brain about the payday lending ballot measures; then we’ll see where the conversation goes.

Amazing, the stuff we can find on the Internet. KSOO 1140 AM radio daytime coverage map, from Radio-Locator.com, screen cap 2016.07.07.

If you don’t have the pleasure of living or driving within the KSOO broadcast area, you can click here to listen live online. Ah, the power of the Internet!

For those of you just joining us wondering why a blogger in Aberdeen ends up on a Sioux Falls radio station talking about statewide ballot measures, I’m happy to provide this list of my recent posts and information on the interest rate caps we South Dakotans get to vote on in November and the machinations payday lenders have been using to confound our democracy:

Tune in for the best radio in South Dakota with Rick Knobe and me today around 4:15 on 1140 KSOO!

Nice job, Cory. I didn’t catch your entire interview, but you did a good job of acquainting potential voters with the issues they should be considering ahead of the elections in the fall.

I think you should be a regular on VPU.

Mr. Sibby would be another good talker on that program. Maybe kind of a point/counterpoint, sane-but-wrong/insaner-but-wronger sort of show.

Thanks, Darin! I enjoy radio immensely. It actually reminds me to speak more slowly and clearly. ;-)

Grudz, I dismiss your statement as absurd.

I have listened to Mr. Sibby testify in front of the legislatures and, while a bit crusty around the edges, he is a well spoken fellow. He would do well on radio immensely, too.

So why, Grudz, did you hear me on the radio today and not Sibby?

I did not hear either of you on the radio airwave today, Mr. H. Did they make a tape of it we can play?

Alas, no archived audio online at KSOO.com that I can see. Radio is such a fleeting art form. ;-)
